I've been staying at this motel for 36 years, since I was like 5 years old with my parents, growing up going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Silver Dollar City and then to Dollywood, being raised up there. We usually stayed at Mountain Breeze Motel which is Friends of our family are the owners, and they are an awesome family that has what has kept my family going back for 30 plus years, and now me and my family since I've grown up and I am 41 years old now, and 36 years of my life I've been coming to that City and staying in that Motel probably 90% of the time we stay overnight! The other 10% of the time, there is a motel in Gatlinburg that is more friends of the family, and that Motel is Eastside Motel, off the Parkway in Gatlinburg and owned by Tom and Marlene Trantham. So all my life, when I have ever been to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, those are the main and mostly only two motels we stay at because they are nice clean safe good area with not a lot of crowds, quiet owners and employees and staff are awesome, that's what keeps someone coming back as a customer for 35 plus years! I wouldn't change a thing, and I will continue to stay at these two establishments mainly the rest of my life, I was raised that both of those motels growing up and I will continue to frequent them, now as an adult with a family of my own now I will take my kids to the same motels that my parents raise me going to on vacations to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Enjoyed the stay as always! Sue, the owner of Mountain Breeze Motel in Pigeon Forge is like a grandmother to me, she watched me grow up, and always treated me like I was one of her own biological grandson's when I was younger and throughout all the Years, even to the point of me just being the son of one of their regular families and customers that stays there multiple times a year visiting and vacationing to go to Dollywood with season passes, as a kid she even gave me her Tennessee Vols football tickets to one of her games that she had Tennessee Vols season tickets one season, because she wasn't able to go and at that time I was a huge Tennessee fan, and she knew it so she surprised me by giving my parents tickets, her season tickets that she wasn't going to use that weekend we was up there vacationing, and told them to take me to the game on her! I was like 7 or 8 years old when that happened, I've never forgotten it, therefore I have grown up and repeatedly been returning and staying at that Motel even now at the age of 41, now that is the mark of an awesome Motel owner that treats you like family, and has & continues to even after almost 40+ something years of Me & My Parents, & Now ME & MY FAMILY being their customers ! THANK YOU SUE, & Mountain Breeze Motel as always, I wouldn't stay...
Read moreWe came down for a long get away weekend. We booked 3 rooms. We had 2 issues on the first day, that were addressed immediately. The first issue was our toilet was clogged in our room. My husband went to the office to let them know. The front desk person was completely honest and upfront. She told my husband that they were short staffed and she could have some there as soon as possible or she could give him the plunger. He chose to take the plunger. The next issue was with my in laws room. My in laws reserved the rooms and requested smoking. I’m not sure if they requested non smoking for my husband and I and for his aunt. But we didn’t care. However the room we were given a key to was a smoking room. The room my husband’s aunt was given a key for was smoking. And the room given to my in laws which needed a smoking room was given a key to a non smoking room. We offered to switch rooms but they declined. I believe it was because we were upstairs and they don’t do stairs very well. So they asked the front if there was a smoking room available. They rectified the situation immediately. We were surprised to see that they restocked our linen while we were out enjoying the day. The only down fall which is not the motel or the staffs fault. Our last full day and night we got someone new below us. They had their window and door open and smoked weed the entire time. Since they were short staffed I decided to help the best I could. I stripped both beds of all the linens, and placed all the bath linens in a pile on the counter. It was the least we could do since they showed us such great service and professionalism being...
Read moreThis is a lovely, inexpensive little motel that met all of our needs. It’s not glamorous or luxurious by any means, but if you’re on a budget and need a place to crash land, this is a wonderful option. We visited with our family of four, including two elementary aged children. Though the rooms are dated, they are roomy, comfortable, and most importantly, clean. I admit I was worried when I sat on the bed that it would be too springy, but I slept very comfortably.
But most notable were the lovely ladies running the show. I had several phone calls (we had a change of reservation during a busy season, and also my nervousness about not putting a deposit down) and every conversation was just so pleasant and friendly. Oftentimes in touristy spots, businesses don’t seem to care for tourists, but that isn’t the case here (or our experience wholly in Pigeon Forge). They were so pleasant and accommodating.
We also appreciated the complementary treats in the office. There’s a popcorn machine and cookies and pop tarts and donuts. I am often disappointed with hotel breakfasts who try their hand at “eggs” and bacon. It’s gross and unappealing. Just give us the junk food! This motel understands the call. And the coffee ain’t half bad!
Overall, a great experience for us. When we visit again, we will certainly be staying here again. Thank you for the...
