Xtreme Racing Center of Pigeon Forge — Attraction in Pigeon Forge

We previously came here last February and the service was fantastic, they were respectful, helpful, and made sure we had an awesome time! However, we came back this time and I’m assuming they’re under new management because it was horrible. For starters, the bathroom were disgusting and barely functioning, as well as the men’s room not even having a seat on the actual toilet in the stall. On top of that, we were a group of ADULTS, and stated specifically we wanted the high speed, Grand Prix track. The woman who was ringing us up must have misunderstood and thought we said “fast track” (kids track) and rang us up for that instead. We went outside and were denied our ride due to insufficient funds (after being in line for 30 minutes at this point l) even though we had just bought our ticket. When we went inside to attempt to fix the card the lady was rude, and refused to admit that we had obviously asked for the adult track, seeing as we were a group of adults. She then proceeded to tell us it would be $17 more to upgrade so we could ride, even thought we had all already spent well over $70. We then stated we wanted a refund instead so she grabbed her manager and he was rude as well. He seemed to be irritated at the fact we were asking him to do his job, and kept saying things under his breath. Only reason I clicked on one star is because I had to choose one. Our experience was absolutly awful and I cannot believe they run business they way they do. On 12/24/23, our family was so excited to go and race the carts. We were on vacation and had been looking forward to it all week. Knowing how long each race would take and that each waiting areas was packed with people waiting, they proceeded to sell us tickets at 5:07pm (closing at 6pm) knowing the last race would be at 5:40pm (which they did not communicate) and there was no way we'd get on. We were promised we'd get on at least once and we were ok with that because we had to purchase the 2 race pack per person (times 6) in order to go on the fast and long track. After waiting in line for 30 minutes with no movement, they announcement the last race at 5:40pm. The crowd was outraged and we all went inside to get a refund. They told us to call their corporate office and one guy even faked going into an office to call them. Funny thing is they wouldn't give us the number and every number listed for them was for the local place. Most of the people were from out of town and would not be able to use their tickets in the future. They refused to give us our money back knowing we were from out of town and did not get to race. Absolutely HORRIBLE service and they should be ashamed of themselves taking money from families on Christmas Eve. They should NOT be in business and I would NOT recommend them to anyone....

When my group of 6 got there, we approached the person at the desk to inquire about the pricing and deals they had going on. We saw online that they were advertising 40 mph go carts so that was what intrigued us the most. When we asked the person what the difference between the “slow and fast carts were”($20 difference per person), all the person could say was that she “felt like there was a good difference between the two”. We wanted the extra speed so we spent the extra $20 per person but there was minimal difference between the carts and they definitely weren’t 40mph.

Normally, I understand that there are going to be lines. However, they advertised 30 people racing together but in reality they had 20 people racing at a time with 10 carts sitting unused. I asked the go cart attendee why the other 10 weren’t running and his response was that “the managers tell us when to start using the rest of the carts based off of our numbers”. This really increased the wait times and was quite frustrating for the money we had spent to race. Not to mention the attendees never once checked our seatbelts before a race.

Overall, we had a good time racing together but it was nowhere near what was advertised. We ended up selling all of our unused tickets to a person waiting in line for a huge discount because of how long the waits were. I would not recommend it to others for all of the...
