In the heart of Pigeon Forge, where the Great Smoky Mountains cast their enchanting shadows, lies a confectionery haven known as the Chocolate Monkey. Step inside, and you'll find yourself surrounded by a symphony of cocoa aromas and sugary delights. The moment you cross the threshold, plush monkeys greet you from every nook and cranny. They dangle from shelves, perch on counters, and swing playfully from the ceiling. It's as if the entire shop has been invaded by mischievous cocoa-loving simians. But fear not—they're friendly and eager to share their sweet secrets. The Chocolate Monkey's pièce de résistance? Their colossal caramel apples. These aren't your ordinary apples; they're juicy Granny Smiths dipped in velvety caramel. Imagine sinking your teeth into a caramel-coated wonderland—crunchy, gooey, and utterly addictive. Toppings abound: sprinkles, crushed nuts, and mini marshmallows. Each bite is a celebration of indulgence. The fudge counter beckons with promises of creamy bliss. Made with real cream and butter, their fudge comes in flavors that span the spectrum: classic chocolate, salted caramel, and even a hint of espresso. Sample a square—it's like poetry for your taste buds. And don't be surprised if you end up leaving with a whole box; resistance is futile. Beyond the apples and fudge, explore the glass display. Chocolate-covered strawberries glisten like ruby gems, their sweetness balanced by the dark chocolate's slight bitterness. Truffles, those mysterious orbs, await discovery—one bite, and you're transported to a cocoa wonderland. In summary, the Chocolate Monkey isn't just a candy store; it's a portal to childhood dreams. Whether you're a local or a curious traveler, this place invites you to linger, taste, and savor. So, when life feels uncertain, remember: a little chocolate now and then doesn't just soothe—it heals. Next time you're in Pigeon Forge, follow your cravings to the Chocolate Monkey. It's a sanctuary where cocoa magic reigns, and every bite tells a...
Read moreExcellent! People say pricey, I do not. None of this stuff is made for a few dollars. Add the time, ingredients and everything they do and put into it and I'm fine with the prices. I spent $50, ill break it down to help others decide.
Truffles. As usual, a more expensive item. It's not uncommon to pay just over $1 per truffle. When you take that, add in the uniqueness of the flavors you can get in stores like this I'm always sold. Cotton candy, birthday cake, cheesecakes, oreo and chocolate, mint chocolate, etc. We got a bunch.
Fudge. Comes in at $8.95 a square. ( a square is about 3" x 3" and 1 1/2" thick ). Good size chunk in my opinion. They are buy 2, get one free.
Other stuff like chocolate covered stuff. cherries on a stick, massive Carmel apples, rice crispy treats, bananas, strawberries, etc all vary but was happy with what I got.
Will always swing into one a few times a trip to...

The only difference between the other truffles was some graham cracker dust on the outside. The regular cheesecake one was just white chocolate on the inside. The strawberry cheesecake was the same but strawberry flavored white chocolate. Same with the blueberry. The only one I thought was okay was the Oreo as it actually had the right texture. Not to mention the size of the truffles was...
