Very unprofessional.
My daughter and I purchased two sweaters from an outdoor rack â there was a sign posted 1/$14.99 or 2/$19.99. Along with the sweaters, we got a T-shirt and three stickers. I was overcharged on the purchase (charged twice for the same 2/$19.99 deal). I didnât realized it when I checked out, I caught the error once I got home. I went back to the store about a day and a half later (I was not staying in the basin so I had to wait to get back up to the lake) to tell them about the error. The two employees at the checkout stand were very friendly and when I told them about the incident and who helped me, they said âyeah that sounds like something Zack would do (accidentally)â and one of them went to get the manager.
The manger came out and was immediately defensive, rude and pretty verbally aggressive, given the situation. I began to explain what had happened and she cut me off and told me I was wrong, that that clothing rack wasnât where I said it was and it didnât have a sign on it. I continued to try to tell her exactly what happened and how the man who checked me out had even asked me where I grabbed the items from, which is when I told him and pointed out the sign; she essentially told me I was lying. My 11 year old daughter was even trying to explain to to her what happened and the manager just shook her head and kept saying ânoâ. I asked her if she could call the employee to confirm and she said no. I asked her if there were surveillance cameras, which she told me no â this was not true because I spotted a security camera right above where we were standing.
She refused to refund the partial amount so I had to contact my bank and dispute the partial charge.
I donât even care about the $20 refund, Iâm more upset that she called me a liar and was so aggressive toward me. Horrible...

Mayority of employes are very rude including the manager. The most important things to consider why not to rent with this guys are:
1.They dont do free valet overnight to storage the skis like almost every other place.
2.They wont let you take breaks during your rental days. You would have to return everything and rent again the next day.
3.And the worst they wont give you a receipt of what are they charging.
I return days earlier and a lady told me she would return 106 dls to my card and i just wanted to know what where they charging and what where they returning.
She told me she cant give me that explanation
When i spoke to the manager he told me that she was being kind because in the first place she shouldnt be refunding me any days as written on the contract even though they tell you otherwise.
So after managing to speak because he was always interrupting me, i told him that it was very confusing that some of them tell me one thing and then he tell me other.
So he finished by telling me that it was a miss understanding and that he is ok if i go with my family to rent next door.
For me this was the worst but i learn a lesson this guys are a lot of trouble when people are coming to vacation just to try to have a good time not to deal with people that are angry for something else.

Tahoe is known for being a community and helpful and friendly. I had the complete opposite experience here. The staff was very unfamiliar with any of the equipment and skiing ability levels when a person in my party was renting. Additionally, even though it was included in the rental, they do not offer valet ski service. Finally, when some of my personal equipment that was accidentally misplaced inside the store, the store manager Heather in particular was rude, unhelpful and inconsiderate. While it was our error that caused my ski boots to be lost, she could have at least empathized with the situation, especially knowing I still had to rent new equipment to finish the week. Instead, I took my business to a less convenient location, but at least a very reputable Tahoe dealer (Shoreline of Tahoe) who have always been outstanding to work with and quickly helped me out.
