Fairly nice hotel inside and out.

I love that the lobby is one floor up from ground level because the view of the trees is so much nicer than the streets and other buildings and parking lots.

Parking on ground level under a concrete ceiling, requires a $10 charge. Hopefully they've wisely invested in security cameras because with so few businesses nearby, it leaves me a little uneasy at night.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Fridge, microwave, 2 k-cups with dry creamer, sugar and sweetener per cup in room. 2 large empty counters for suitcases and a portable suitcase holder. The room appeared clean but a little outdated. Not a big deal because it was all working efficiently and clean. Tub had a steady stream water leak but was clean! Nice hairdryer, and twin full size mirrors with ample lighting.

Husband said breakfast was included; however, at 8:50am Monday in the middle of the summer, all the chairs were neatly hanging from the tables and both pans you'd expect to find eggs and hashbrowns or something in were dark, clean and cold and empty. Hmmm. Sign in dining area said closed at 9am. I have heard that 9 am is the average time for people to wake up when on vacation. There was a fridge with yogurts, cream cheese and other cold spreads but no breads for them. Packaged (not very chocolately) muffins and packaged small honey buns and a juice machine. Not a sustainable breakfast.

The hall carpet was quite outdated but still seemed ok for a hotel that permits pets. It was an appropriate forest design.

The lobby and sitting areas were so inviting! The elevator worked and sounded great. There is a nice, small-medium sized gym.

No pool.

Front desk lady never said a word to us the whole time. Instead, just peaked out from behind front counter, where she sat the whole time, smiling only once when we made eye contact.

Maids in hallway greeted me while they were cleaning rooms and had a small plastic bag, when I asked them for one for my dog when we went to walk outside. The outdoor doggie bag stand had no bags.

There are small grass areas surrounding the parking buildings and parking lots to walk your pets but no really pretty area to enjoy. It's very close to some freeway.

The area doesn't have any convenient stores nearby but the hotel does have a small closet-sized room with convenience-store items (food and hygiene products) for sale.

Very basic and simple hotel for a...

Ok so let's start with I don't travel much like at all so staying at a hotel isn't something I do often...... So I reserved a room a month before the concert I was going to, thinking I won't have to stress to get home all late... I get to the hotel to get checked in before the concert. I had to wait in the lobby for a 10-15mins listen to the receptionist talking in Spanish laughing around with people in the back. I start to say hello nd that did nothing so I just started looking around before the lady finally decided to come look at the desk, to check me in... She informs me that I will have to pay a 10$ car parking fee I'm fine with that I had cash but they don't take cash which is fine still so I get my card and proceed to pay nd it's declined, so I try again declined I'm like it's only 10$ why is it declining my card, at that point the lady then tells me that I'm being charged for a deposit fee of 120$ that I will get bac tmrw in case I wreck the room... Ok so wen i was booking online I didn't see anything saying the deposit fee if I did I would have paid it then so I wouldn't have to worry about it because I was just staying a night but there was nothing.... So when this lady was telling me the deposit fee I asked why wasn't that online, I would have payed it then, she said "o did u book online, it's doesn't say anything online about it" so they know this but still it's not on the website.... So I only had100$ on my card, for gas to get home so paying the deposit at that time was not happening, so I tell her I don't have enough am I going to get my money back. She makes a face and proceed to ask a manger, who is in the back I guess the one she was Laughing around with when I arrived.. she come back and says yes u will get it money back have a nice day...... Ok so I am not rich I don't have alot of money but I try to make sure all my thing are taking care of but for the first time in my life this lady made me feel some kind of way for not having enough money at that moment... I think this hotel needs to have more info nd nicer people cause I didn't even get to stay but just that alone will have me booking...

The good: Location is good if you're doing things downtown.

The mediocre My room did not have a shower curtain. Called front desk to get one. After waiting 45 mins, ended up going down and getting one. Room was not very clean. Gunk in the refrigerator. Sink had a couple of hairs. Bedding had stained mattress cover, though sheets appeared clean. $10 parking charge- Is not listed anywhere on the Wyndham La Quinta website, and is not listed in the "total for stay" when you book online. Not a big deal if you're informed ahead of time. However in this area, I see no reason why a hotel you're staying at charges for parking. Signs are up saying guests and employees must wear a mask. Not a single employee was wearing a mask. Again- Not a big deal, but if it's your policy and you have a sign up then enforce it.

The bad Front desk staff is either very new and not trained well, or doesn't care. When your staff says "I think there's an elevator to the parking garage, probably" it's not a good sign. Quiet time not enforced. Someone was having a very loud party in their room down the hall from me well after midnight. Supposedly this is a non smoking hotel, but the party room was Obviously smoking something as it smelled in the hall. It took 2 calls to only partially resolve the noise issue. There was no breakfast on Sunday (3/13/22) because "The person that does that didn't show up". Evidently the front desk isn't even allowed to help out with it, as the breakfast area was dark with all the chairs still upside down on the tables at 8:10AM. You'd think that they would at least help get the area set up when someone is late, or a no show. The parking garage area was not well lit, could be a safety issue for some.

I stay at La Quinta's a lot and have a certain expectation that this location definitely did not meet. It's well below the standards. This location was more Super 8 in terms of service and cleanliness. I would not recommend paying to stay here. Thankfully I had rewards points I used, but in hindsight I wish I had used them somewhere else as it was a waste to...

Nice remodel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and newly updated. Like every hotel room nowadays, they are heated and cooled with a heat pump and will not remove moisture, so it’s like sleeping in moist sheets and your towels never dry after hanging for a day. Room service doesn’t make your bed or change towels if you’re staying more than one night. The worst is no room coffee on the second morning. Room service needs to be aware that mold grows in moist areas. I’ll attach an example where it grows. The breakfast area isn’t set up well and it’s very loud if there are many people there. The breakfast staff were polite and courteous. Can’t say the same about the front desk. Parking, there is no parking if more than 30 vehicles and very tight to navigate. If you pull into the “garage” and it’s full, you have to back the entire distance out. Good luck if someone is behind you. I will never stay at this location again because of the parking issue. Everything else was okay 👍.
