If you're looking for something close to the action during concerts, this is the perfect location. 2 block walk to the boardwalk & the beach. Very quaint, family owned & run. Norma is very sweet & we think we briefly encountered the owner on our way to the beach today. Nice guy. Our room was fine for the hubby and I cause we are all day beach people. We just need somewhere to sleep and shower. You can tell they pride themselves in providing a clean space. The mattresses could definitely use an upgrade. My body is too old for springs, lol. I'll be paying the price for a couple weeks 😜. Our room was equipped with a small kitchenette w/basic appliances. I did cook & unfortunately the exhaust fan wasn't working but I was only boiling pasta so no biggie. You can always buy disposable plates, etc. but It would be nice if it were equipped with a small pot, frying pan, & a couple cooking utensils. I knew I needed to bring my own. The website clearly states that they do not provide these items. After COVID, this seems to be the norm. Would definitely recommend if your budget conscious & looking for a homey atmosphere.

I enjoyed staying here! My family of 4 stayed in the Queen studio. We were minutes away from the boardwalk and beachfront. As well as all the restaurants you want! We arrived on Monday at 8p and no one was in the office but after calling the manager came within 10 minutes to check us in. The only thing that needs added to the room is a broom and more rugs. We will definitely be back! The pics I added are when we were leaving.

Angie’s guest cottage at Virginia Beach is quaint and welcoming. The location is perfect just two blocks from the beach and close to restaurants and attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable. Parking was included in the overnight rate. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a central location and something different from the standard hotels.

Although the location is near the beach. Accommodations for renting an apartment here was little to none. We booked a 5 night stay for a family of 5, while they mentioned no room service they didn't stock garbage bags for kitchen or bathroom. No broom to sweep up the massive amounts of sand, children bring back from the beach. Few towels for showering, luckily I brought towels. Despite the accommodations not offered. We loved being able to cook and walk to the beach. I originally wrote a great review on the 3rd party website I booked through. It wasn't until I called to ask them why they charged my card for $100. The woman manager proceeded to tell me we had left their whited painted chest with a red stain on it. I agreed, my sons new red beach towel did transfer some dye to the paint but it was a small area. When I asked why they would be charging so much for something that had been painted over and over again. The manager gave me attitude, she said if I could bring her another chest, I wouldn't have to pay. I laughed. I asked why would it cost you $100 to paint the top of a small chest. She said $40 an hour to her worker (lol) and the rest would be for paint and driving to get this paint (expensive white paint). I feel like they found anything to take my full deposit. I asked for a invoice for the repairs be emailed to me and of course they didn't send me anything. They just took my money. The lady, manager was just rude. We noticed the blinds had been broken going to the back door when we first got the the place, I hope they weren't charging me for something they overlooked from the previous renter as well. I would have booked with them again. That lady with her attitude made me change my mind about the kind of...

Update on disputed charge, I won!!!

I made my reservations in August for a three night stay. The stay was going to be after celebrating my mom’s 94th birthday on Saturday 9/23/23. Unfortunately mom was put under hospice care roughly five days before my departure to Angie’s cottage. So l emailed the office and explained what was going on. I asked for another day of arrival. By the time l received an email from Angie’s cottage, mom had passed. Now the email that l received stated that the dates l chosen was not available. Nothing else! When l sent another email to AC stating that mom had passed. I asked what dates were available? According to Angie’s cottage representative l was outside my timeframe of making new reservations. The representative showed no empathy of my circumstances, not even a comment saying sorry for your loss. Shortly afterwards l received a call I’m assuming was the manager named Norma from Angie’s Cottage. She gave her condolences and stated that l could change the reservation. That l should receive a call the next day from reservation. Well, l did receive a voice message the following day which only stated have a good day. So again l tried calling, no response. I sent another email to Angie’s cottage going over what Norma stated. The response that l received was that l cancelled my reservation and nothing could be done. So now I’m out of $331.31. I have disputed the charges through my credit card company.

My take on this so called vacation location at Angie’s cottage, well the associates can cram their heads up where the sun...

They ruined my vacation!! Do not stay here! I made my reservations a month in advance, but my father had paid for the room for myself and my husband, so I was concerned about the reservation being under my father's name, and called concerning this 8 times, and emailed three times. Never hearing anything back, we drove four hours to our reservation at Angie's Cottages. The man at the desk admitted to reading the email the night before we were to leave, and also admitted to not bothering to respond. Waited two hours as we were instructed to do so we could speak to the owner (I'm guessing) concerning the matter I had been trying to get ahold of them to discuss, for a month. While waiting we went to a restaurant across the street, where the waitress filled us in on the shady dealings Angie's Cottages was apparently known for. We went to talk to a Russian woman who owned the property, and despite them being at fault completely, she denied us, four hours from home, on a very carefully budgeted vacation, with nowhere to stay. We had every bit of information that was required by their website. Do not rent here! Do not expect any...
