I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. This experience was the worst!!! And the customer service wasn't better and this was from the GM (so I was told). I rented the room because on the website it was the only hotel that had a pool available on April 1. My children love playing in the pool so that was a must because I knew that later on in the week it was going to be cold. When I arrived I was told the pool wasn't ready, but it would be ready the next day. So, I said ok, we will not be swimming today because we just got in and we needed to get settled. Getting to the room, I saw trash under the sink in the kitchen, coffee cups on the deck, trash under the dressers, toys, and the couch was stained (gross). So apparently the room was not cleaned very well. Couldn't leave because I would be charged and the kids were so happy, so I had to make the best of it because we were on spring break. So the next day after eating we went back to the front desk to ask about the pool and it still wasn't ready, it was going to be the next day, then the next day, and finally I had to check out. So I asked when I checked out will there be compensation for false advertisement and they told me that the GM is taking care of it, she will be in later on that day because you are not the only one to complain. I couldn't wait for her I had to get back home. I called when I got home the relative of the GM told me that it was on the website for 6 months that the pool was not going to be ready, I clearly told him when I made the reservation that it said your pool will be ready on April 1st and I checked in on April 4th, so he told me to talk the GM. When she got on the phone I explained the situation and asked will there be compensation because the only reason I came was because of the pool and I was lied to everyday I was there. She told me that there is nothing she can do because it is not their fault the pool was not ready. But I explained to her that is false advertisement and I have my paper work that states the pool will be ready on April 1. She screamed and hollered at me like it was my fault and said she will call me back. I received no phone call. So I called and asked for the corporate number and they told me they can not give me that information it is only for the GM....really???? Never heard of that, so I tried to look online and could not find anyone to talk to about false advertisement, and the nasty rude customer service coming from someone that represents this organization. It is April 19th, I have still received no call, and still can't contact anyone except for the rude GM. I hope this information gets to the appropriate individuals. I am very disgusted and hope that NO ONE will ever...
Read moreI booked online, Thinking it was the other Dolphin Hotel up the street. I always try to give each business the benefit of the doubt and not judge a book by its cover. I also chose this one because it was way cheaper. When I pulled up I was very disappointed. There were about 5 parking spots next to the office that was almost like a little hideaway driveway with a trash dumpster sitting there. There was parking above one level. I asked if was safer up there or at the bottom. They said there were cameras, but it was dark and gloomy. There was an entrance to the beach access from the garage. When I entered the office, it had that peppery smell is how I describe it. I drove to the top and entered the building. The floors had some wood, but the walls needed to be painted badly. The concrete on the stairwells was all chipped, written on. It was hot and smelly. The exit signs were dangling and the fire detectors were either missing or dangling. I proceeded to the slow elevator. I made it to my room, it was about 90 inside. They didn't turn on the air, I was sweaty, and the room smelled peppery there too. The furniture was mixed-matched, with old carpet colors, The sink area had cabinets under, which were empty and the wood was missing paint and old. I opened the door looking for toilet paper, and I found a trash can full of trash. I had no TP so I had to go down and ask for some and mentioned the trash. The lady that I asked, apologized and said she would find out who cleaned the room. She was nice. I did like that the bedroom had a balcony along with the living room, but you saw the street side and the living room was beachfront. After the room cooled down, it eased staying there but I don't think I would want to stay again unless there were a lot of updates. It was right beside the dairy queen. It would be good if someone needed a long-term stay and could fix up their own room or make it a homeless shelter, but I honestly don't know how it passed code. I got there around noon, and she had the front door locked. I checked out by 5 am, and no one was there. It is beachfront and around all the restaurants. The hotel needs a lot of TLC. I'll try and go back in and add photos...
