EDIT (09/08/2021): A rep has reached out and has made a very great job trying to resolve the issue. My wife and I do really enjoy the meals and are considering picking up the meals if we re join. The current rep I’m speaking with, JP, took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. The experience my family had prior in the week does not seem entirely indicative of how the overall customer service is. My wife and I would recommend this service knowing there is pick up; if you have time to wait for delivery then it is also a great option. Will update again if we rejoin, and the experience of picking up meals over delivery.
09/05/2012 Although the meals are very tasty and portioned well, the customer service is not the best when it comes to delivery. You cannot schedule a delivery or ask what your eta is. I was told to chat with Custome Service on day of delivery to inquire about delivery time. This morning (1030am) was told to contact back after 12pm for accurate timing. When contacted around 3pm, no one had an idea of when it would arrive, just between 8am and 8pm. I told them I could not wait 12 hours for food to be dropped off, especially if no one is home the food will sit in the sun for hours. The rep told me their bags can last for 4 hours in the sun and would only give a partial refund if damaged. On several deliveries I have had bags that didn’t even zipper closed, let alone last in south Florida heat for 4 hours. I explained that if I couldn’t get accurate delivery times I’d like to cancel. After the plan was cancelled, the rep asked me to stay in chat so they could locate the driver and give me an eta. Why do I need to cancel to finally get an eta??? The rep then said it could be another 2+ hours to get my food delivered.
It was like pulling teeth to figure out where my $200 went. Very poor communication, lack of logistical awareness, and a general disregard for their customers time. The wife and I are looking for other meal prep...
Read moreListen i am latin and know flavor, Ideal Nutrition has good, flavorful food. My other half is very picky, he's the one who orders it and he loved it. It does not upset our tummies and the portions are good. The ONLY THING we don't like is they only change out 6 new items per week and other than that they keep the same exact meals on rotation, so it's not enough variety, for that reason we removed a star star. if they can switch up the meals more often and not keep such a stagnant meal lineup i think they would be even better. The food is fresh and "home cooked" tasting but after the 2nd or 3rd week i am done and off the plan again because it's too repetitive having the same meals over and over again. They also do NOT post the correct macros on their meals. They are very off. The quality is good mostly, but i did notice on their BBQ dishes Sweet Baby Ray's sauce is used in their ingredients list and that i don't like, but then again for their low prices i guess they cannot make BBQ sauce from scratch. I guess we can't have it all. Prices are amazing for the portion sizes and their pulled chicken with onions, white rice and sweet plantains is my favorite meal, thats the ONLY one i could eat every week with no problem. I mean if they had more variety and accurate macro nutrition listed then this place would have 5 stars. customer service is very good. deliveries on time and arrive very cold with a lot of ice packs but i do agree they use a lot of unnecessary plastic bags in the cooler bags but i like that the food won't spill in the main cooler bag since they do that but still too much plastic. Read moreFood is good but the keto options are very limited. Most everything on the keto menu has cauliflower mash in it. If you are not into having that almost everyday then I would recommend another service. The website is ok to navigate through but the chat function hardly ever works. I wanted to use it a few times to get some questions answered but I could never get the chat function to work. Also, if you are getting the subscription, just know that the reoccurring meals are set or picked for you and you have to go in and change the options that you really want. I had a problem where I went in to pick the meals I wanted and they had already ordered a set of menu items that I didn't chose. If I could ever get a hold of someone, I would highly recommend to them to have more red meat with vegetable options minus the cauliflower mash on the keto menu. There has currently been none in the past three weeks. The keto menu has been getting mundane with just three weeks of service. There are some amazing options on the regular menu that could be offered for keto if they just replaced the sides with vegetables. This is really a no brainer. So, from my experience, the food is good but the selection for a keto diet is very limited and mundane due to almost every option having cauliflower mash in it.
