I might give this place another chance but I might stay somewhere else next time. Haven’t decided yet. Basically my checking in experience was great. Friendly staff, very welcoming and were able to give me an upgrade to a larger room so my family could speed out. We got the luxury spa room and had to private king beds. The room was wonderful, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel itself could use a few improvements. The staff didn’t have a corkscrew which is not a big deal but just thought it was funny that the entire hotel and there’s not one. corkscrew when the next place I stayed at not only had several but gave us one. They sell a few things in there “market” but anything I needed like milk they didn’t have. The pool is smaller than it looks and was kinda run down, lots of rowdy folks which isn’t really much the staff can do but just felt crammed in there. This is all minor stuff but the breakfast is horrendous. Worst breakfast at any hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. Unfortunately the girl that checked me out seemed to be having an emotional day. She was upset when she was checking me out and so it turns out she did not check me out properly so I got a phone call hours later telling me to call them and give my card over phone or else be charged for another night? It was a strange message to hear and had to call back as soon as I had reception after leaving the park. The manager had some excuse that was pretty unprofessional so could tell she didn’t have quite the skills to deal with a situation like that and simply just explained that she didn’t know what happened cause she wasn’t there. My guess is the staff was understaffed that day and poorly trained. That is the only time in my whole life I ever had a problem checking out at a place. I was pretty thrilled with this hotel until that happened. Breakfast still terrible though, that’s one thing they could easily improve and step...
Read moreMy son and I stayed at Yellowstone Park Hotel in July 2025, and it was a fantastic base for our days at Yellowstone. Located just three blocks from the park’s West Entrance, the hotel’s proximity made early morning park visits a breeze. The surrounding area offers plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, adding convenience after long days at the park. We opted to drive through out town and found parking to be fairly easy. We booked a Double Queen room, which was spacious, clean, and equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean. And the free Wi-Fi was reliable. They have a heated pool and hot tub, which we did not use. The game room had plenty of games and the complimentary s’mores kits by the fire pit seemed to be big hit with guests. Free laundry was a surprising bonus which I knocked out in less than two hours one morning. The staff was exceptional—friendly, informative, and quick to assist with park tips. The continental breakfast was basic, with limited variety (muffins, yogurt, eggs), and the breakfast room felt crowded at times. Overall, the hotel’s cleanliness, amenities, and location outweighed the very few negatives. It’s a bit pricey ($400+/night), but the value shines for its proximity to Yellowstone. I’d highly recommend Yellowstone Park Hotel for families or anyone seeking a comfortable,...
Read moreYellowstone Park Hotel is wonderful! I have traveled alot the past 10 years and stayed in many places around the world. This hotel is one of the top places I have ever stayed. The location is great, within walking distance or short drives to many local restaurants and shops. The west entrance to Yellowstone Park is less than a 5 minute drive away. The hotel is very clean and inviting with very helpful employees including Michael and Rob (great guys). The rooms are very clean, quiet and updated along with very comfy beds and pillows. The indoor pool is great along with the hot tub (both very clean with good hours). They even have a free gameroom located downstairs with video games, an arcade style game along with shuffle board, airhockey, and Foosball. There is also a large TV with comfy couches down there. Little things make a huge difference also like yoga mats in the closet of each room and free smore kits to use on the outside fire pit that is lit each evening. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I highly recommend it to all, especially families with small children. We won't stay anywhere else if we ever come back to Yellowstone...
