Stayed here last summer during a vacation trip. Easily, without a doubt the worst lodging I've ever experienced.
Upon arriving, the single person working the front desk left me standing there for half an hour or so because she kept taking phone calls rather than helping me for 3 minutes. The website(s) that we looked at this place on all said it was pet friendly...it isn't apparently. However, different pieces of their OWN papers said the pet fee was only $30...front desk said it was $200...then another thing in the room said pets are okay. In any case, we were lucky to not have an issue finding a place for the pet.
Then the room itself stunk like mold. It was so humid and smelly that we begrudgingly kept the window open a crack just so we could breathe. The carpet, chair, and walls all had mystery stains on them that could've been anything really. The beds luckily were clean enough to be acceptable, but we still used our own blankets to be safe. The walls seemed to be paper thin so you could also hear everyone above, below, or to the sides of you.
The other thing is parking. This place is fairly old and hasn't had any updates it seems. So the old style of having a bunch of parking in the center of a bunch of rooms is still present here. So pulling in and out is very difficult. I'd recommend parking out on the main street if possible as backing out of here is super annoying.
I'd recommend to not stay here if your budget allows. We were spread pretty thin on this trip so we unfortunately got stuck at the cheapest place in town...
Read moreWe were checked in by what looked like kids. We had requested additional towels and we were immediately met with a rude demeanor stating we have enough towels. The A/C unit wasn't consistent. The shower didn't have a non-slip mat in the shower. I'm recovering from hip surgery and I was on edge the entire time I showered and it didn't make it any better when the soap dispenser was hit by my elbow washing my hair and it knocked off the wall and went everywhere. With the poorly mounted showerhead and lack of water pressure it took forever to clear the soap from the tub so I can move again or risk slipping. The beds were designed for the Princess and the pea. I'm 5'5" and still recovering from surgery. It was painful getting in and out of the bed. Not enough outlets but luckily I was smart enough to bring surge protectors and extension cords for my electronics. There is free wifi but it is completely unsecured and barely lets anything connect. We saw someone try to get the wifi on their tablet walking around the property our first day and nothing since connected because of one to no bars for signal. The shower curtain/rod fell on two of us while showing. I can keep going but I think you've read enough. Otherwise the location is fantastic for site seeing...
Read moreA conveniently located motel in West Yellowstone. It’s a walkable distance to shops, groceries, and restaurants which was nice for exploring the town. Very short distance to the National Park’s entrance.
Our room was good which included an older microwave, mini fridge, TV, and decent WiFi connection. Our time here was relatively quiet but we could easily hear people walking above us which was expected. In-room A/C can be loud, so keep in mind. It wasn’t crowded at all so going in/out of the parking lot was a breeze.
From first glance, it seemed mostly clean but our room had a corner where the carpet wasn’t tacked down properly (sticking up) that could’ve been easily pulled up by our baby. We also found a dead wasp on the carpet. After a quick inspection, bed sheets/pillows appeared clean and spotless. Bathroom was clean, plenty of hot water, hand soap provided and the shower had body wash and shampoo available.
No breakfast provided but there was a basic coffee bar in the main office that was nice to grab instead of the pricier drinks in town.
Similar to other reviews, we chose this place due to price + convenience so we weren’t expecting luxury. If you’re looking for a budget friendly hotel that meets basic needs, this could be a good...
