In our trip to Vietnam, Taiwan, HK this was the best hotel even though it was the cheapest. We got large rooms with two double beds, intricately made for us. However what was exceptional was the service. The room was 5 floors up and there was no elevator (not the best) but the receptionist made up for it by carrying our heavy luggage up the stairs. When we were checking out too, we called the front desk. Le climbed 5 set of stairs immediately to grab the heavy items from us. ||||Apart from this, all our needs were taken care of. We were picked up from the hotel with a guy carrying placard with my name. We were picked up from the hotel by taxi for the airport. We were able to give all our dirty clothes for laundry to the front-desk and receive it next morning. We were picked outside our hotel for Halong Bay tour due to it's convinient location in Old Quarter. The front-desk staff was very thorough at booking these. The front desk guy (Le) also gave us a map explaining where to look for shopping in the night. Hanoi Weekend Night Market is a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. French Quarter is 15-minute walk. Once we had a problem with hot water. We called front-desk, Le came immediately up 5 flight of stairs and instructed us on how to use the water heating system. We made sure to tip Le in the end for his help.||||In summary, huge spacious room in an excellent location with unparallelled service for dirt-cheap...

Read moreMy friend booked the hotel on my behalf on my name for 2 nights - and got the confirmation of the booking on email. When I appeared in the hotel - they could not find my name in the guest list. After - they told me that my booking request went to junk holder 😕, which was a surprise -surprise for me - never had such explanation in past... They told not to worry , because they will support with finding other place. They started to look the hotels nearby and told there is a hotel nearby , which was less stars. And support from the stuff in Hanoi Passion was - to look the availability in other hotels, but not to re-book for me there. I insisted to go with me to the hotel which they suggested to support with re-book , cz it looked like that from their end they just wanted to provide with the hotel and address where I should go. Girl from the reception walked me to the other hotel nearby , it was only information and "walk" support. In the hotel Daisy Hanoi Hotel I needed to argue with the owner about the room, he showed me the option which was more expensive than in the Hanoi Passion hotel. After arguing - owner of the Hanoi Daisy (substitution hotel) - pro idea the other room. Do not recommend to book with Hanoi Passion - they cannot handle the situation. And location is actually near the main road - so it is not so cosy. IMHO - in Hanoi is better to book hostels - they are cleaner and stuff is...
