Bong Ha Noi Hostel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Did multiple tours with the hostel, because I was short on time and needed help organising everything efficiently. |A big shout-out to the team at the reception, who have been talking to me via WhatsApp 2 weeks prior to my arrival to sort out my itinary and customise everything to my needs. I believe I was talking to multiple people, but Rose was one of them. Generally, I felt so extremely well taken care of, every step of the way. For almost every activity I had someone making sure I am at the right location, guides were reaching out to me via WhatsApp beforehand to confirm things and generally everything was so well organised.|The experience was amazing, I have never experienced such good customer service before.|Here is my detailed account:|I started my 10 day package with a food tour, which was one of my highlights of the whole experience. Ceri, my guide, was giving me more of an experience as if a friend is showing me Hanoi than a Tourguide working with a tourist.|Sapa was great, tho January is not the best time if you're up to see rice terraces. Still walking through the villages was a great experience and I do recommend doing it before the ha giang loop to get some peace and quiet before the adventure.|The Ha Giang loop was cold, and unfortunately the weather wasn't too good. But the company made up for it for sure. |Cat ba was relaxing, however the experience is nicer if you're there with a partner or friend (I took the 5 star cruise). The schedule is quite rushed, but it doesn't take away from the experience of having amazing views. |Ninh Binh was okay, I did the one day tour and it's extremely touristy. Okay if you're short in time, but if you can afford it better stay...

Firstly I’d like to mention my easy rider Lương Lào, he was very friendly and kept me really safe. I felt very lucky to have such a professional driver. Lương Lào got involved in the evening and drank happy water with us but knew when to stop so that he was a safe driver the next day, I really respected that. It was a pleasure to get to know more about Lương and his family and life.

Saying that, lots of easy drivers got involved in drinking, karaoke & playing pool. This was so lovely but they all also know where the limits lie for drinking, this is very professional from Bong!

I was impressed with the food, especially on the first day. Make sure you have plenty money to buy water & a couple beers a night. We were happy with our upgrades to private rooms despite not having a private bathroom on the first evening.

The view points are absolutely beautiful and you stop every 20-40 minutes when driving. This made driving comfortable with plenty of rest breaks and to take in the amazing views of the loop.

My only con is to get the free t shirt you have to complete a google review or insta story. Luckily I already had posted a tagged insta story. I think it was silly because most people are leaving reviews as fast as possible just to get a T-shirt whereas Bong would get more genuine detailed reviews if this was not mandatory to get the t-shirt.

However, I now understand the hype of the ha giang loop! Highly recommend doing it with Bong to have an experience...

Wow what a trip with Bong Hostel! We booked onto the 10 day northern tour and it certainly did not disappoint! From hiking in Sapa, delicious local food tour and of course doing the Ha Giang loop, Bong organised everything for us and it was seamless. All of the accommodation we stayed in was perfect, we especially loved the Homestay in Sapa and Ha Giang. We also had to catch a couple of night bus’s which were all organised for us. The VIP Cabin buses were much more spacious and comfortable, and we reached each destination in good time! We also stayed a few nights in Bong Hostel Hanoi during our trip which again was also very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and happy to help with anything and everything! They always had a smile on their faces and know how to serve a delicious breakfast! The highlight of our tour was of course the Ha Giang Loop. Incredible views and incredible people, we made memories that will last us a lifetime. All of our groups drivers were very competent riders, and our safety and comfort was always there number one priority. The home stays and the food was incredible. We loved spending the evenings getting to know everyone on the loop, of course with some happy water and karaoke! You would be silly not to choose Bong to organise your Ha Giang loop or northern tours when...
