Hanoi View Legend Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

went to check in at hotel around 11:20pm. Guy ask my name and gave them my name. Last check in is at 11:30pm and unit is guarantee late check in by Expedia.

However their face shows signs of being worried. Reason being is that they do not have a room for us. They mention that the room light is spoilt and water heater is not working. So I asked the counter if he have given the room to someone else, he said no no no.

The guy at the counter tries to find us a room by making phone calls. He also asked us if we are okie to stay at other hotel and come back the next day. I told Him no ? Why would I do that when I have already made payment. ( showing my Expedia booking confirmation letter)

After waiting for 30 minutes, the guy came back to us and ask us to find another hotel first at 12am. We told him no, he suppose to find us another hotel and book and pay for us. The hotel fail to deliver our booking when we have already paid. The guy who is diligently searching for another hotel for us, is doing his best. But he isn't using the filtering option to the best, just searching page by page. A newbie kind of approach.

Waited another 1 hour and no resolution was given to us. We asked the counter to give us the cash that we paid via online which is estimated around 869992 VND. But the counter staff said that he does not have cash at the counter at all. Time is at 1am Vietnam time. Out of the blue the guy offered us a room to look at. We went up to take a look but it was a cleaner's room.

When it was approx 1am. He offered us to stay at a backpacker hostel. It was 100k dong per pax. The guy brought me and my girl to stay at the backpacker hostel. We wasn't very please with it as there are bed bugs and they kept on bitting my girlfriend till she has bumps everywhere. We left the hostel at 4am just to find a hotel to accommodate us.

The next day we went back to the hotel and explain to the manager what have happen. All she offered was a full refund for the two nights that we booked for but didn't stay. We asked what about the 200k dong we paid to stay. She said she can't do that. Our day was ruin as we didn't had enough sleep and one day technically was gone as we need to recuperate our lack of sleep.

If possible, just skipped the hotel it ain't worth the time and money to be there. There are much better hotel for the same price around the area or 5...

I booked a room with this place. I let them know I was going to be checking in around 2200. They said it was fine. When I get there the receptionist tells me that I am actually staying in their other property for the night and would have to check out in the morning and recheck back in to the original property again. He then walks me in the pouring rain about 2 blocks away to a really run down hotel. I was super tired from traveling all day on no sleep plus couldn’t find another room at this time of night. I was super pissed but what could I do. The reviews were very horrible at this hotel and I’m pretty sure there was some prostitution going on. Still didn’t even offer me a refund or anything. Just told me if I didn’t like it to cancel the reservation and I still had to pay full price. The next morning I checked into the original hotel and it was a different guy. I complained about what happened and he said he was sorry and brushed it off. Told me the same thing. If I didn’t like it I could cancel but wouldn’t get a refund. Once I got to the room it was nothing like the pictures on the site. Very dirty and run down and the window wouldn’t even close all the way so all the noise and rain was coming in. No hot water either I stayed the night but couldn’t take it anymore and checked out a day early. I asked for a refund for my last day but he said no and canceled my reservation so I couldn’t leave a review on the booking site. Very bad...

Sammers and bedbugs paradise! When we arrived Merry said that she can't give us a room for today because the room has bedbugs. She promised she will bring us to a new, luxury hotel to make it up. And she pushed us to cancel our reservation of booking!! When we arrived, at "Golden Diamond Hotel" (be careful not "Golden Legend Diamond Hotel"), it was an old room, dirty and the whole room smelled like toilet. And the WORST part: I got bedbugs there. I went to the doctor! And this woman has the audacity to discuss with me and insisting that it's something else. This woman yelled at me because I said the truth. And kicked us out of the hotel in the middle of the night! And she even admitted that they are gonna have big problems if it's bedbugs.

That's why they overbook their hotel (as you read in other reviews here) and send their customers to another dirty hotel and before that, let them cancel the booking! So no evidence. And their reputation doesn't get hurt. Well, I have evidence now and they are playing a dangerous game with the health of other people! Government and police should know about this....
