The rooms at Memory Hotel are basic but functional. But this is Ha Noi, what are you doing in your room anyway beside sleeping before exploring the city again? There is a shower head on the wall of the private bathroom between the toilet and the sink. Good enough when one considers the price one pays, me thinks ! The fact that this hotel doesn't have an elevator is fine, given that the older crowd probably will be attracted to the more ritzy and expensive hotels anyway.||The in-room fridge is working hard to cool its insides (it doesn't really succeed) but the internet is working flawlessly most of the time. The lack of a water kettle (there is a tea pot with 2 cups) can be overcome by using the VERY hot water from the tap.||On the other side of the coin: Bathroom products are provided, including toothbrush and toothpaste, the hotel sits right between HaNoi Railway station and the French Quarter, and the staff /owners are lovely and forthcoming. And the price is pretty much unbeatable. A previous reviewer complained about signs of the place not being clean; Something I can not confirm;...
Read moreGreat stay here with a nice clean room. The location of the hotel is great being right next to train street and near many local restaurants and cafes. The staff were really friendly and helpful but the only negative experience we had which was also our fault was going with their laundry service. I should have asked their prices before hand but failed to do so and ended up getting charged 250k dong when my laundry typically costs around 120k dong at professional clothes washing places. The price wasn't the only issue but it was also the fact that our clothes still had some moisture to it when we received it back which made it smell after a day. When I asked about the price and how much they charge per kilo after I was given the price, the lady was not able to give a clear answer. I do not think they weighed it or charged based off of that because all she said is that we had alot of clothes...
Besides this laundry incident we really do recommend this place but just not the...
Read moreThis hotel is really really basic, which was alright for us, as we needed to only overnight in Hanoi that time. But boy, I would not stay longer than one night here.||On a positive side the staff is really friendly and welciming. The room is very spacious, true, and does look clean at first sight, but then you walk into the bathroom and look at the towels... Ok, I have been to many budget places before, but I have never seen towels which used to be white, to be so very and old in a hotel.||The bedsheet had stains on it and some hairs too||Would definitely not stay here again. Only if you are really desperate and there are no other places available. Could be much better for 17...
