I spent a week here as a solo traveler in December, and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. The location on Hang Bong street is perfect. Just a 10 minute walk to the lake or to the Cathedral, you’ve got the bustle of the Old Quarter right out the door, but a cool and peaceful oasis to return to.
It’s perfectly quiet for sleeping at night, and centrally located so you can dip back to use the bathroom between sights—or to just take a break when the streets get too hot or hectic. There are plenty of bánh mì, phở and bún chả shops on the block, including one that was recently added to Michelin’s 2023 guide to Hanoi street food.
The room is just like the pictures—one large central room with a comfy bed and sitting area, and a modern bathroom with a great shower and some natural light. The toilet is outfitted with a bidet toilet seat plus a separate hose-style bidet in case you need a good power wash when the street food catches up to you. There is a kitchen on the first floor entry where you can keep food/drinks cold, Although this is a common area, I never saw anyone else the week I was there.
The best part of the apartment is undoubtably the hosts. Le and Happy were super attentive while respecting my personal space. I actually never met either of them in person, but they checked in frequently to make sure everything was ok, and the one time I had a small issue (the sink stopper was stuck) they fixed it within a couple hours while I was out. They helped arrange a ride from airport and with my laundry. They even left me a thank you gift (for the weeklong stay) on my last day. It was truly above and beyond!
If you are looking for an apartment in the Old Quarter, the room itself is great deal. Add to that the hospitality and you’ve got a...
Read moreIf you are visiting Hanoi or even looking to stay for a long period of time. This is the place to stay. You receive far better service than any hotel in Hanoi and you have the luxury of Le’s lovely rooftop airbnb. It’s clean, private, quiet and feels like luxury. As if this wasn’t good enough Le presented us with a cake for as we were on our honeymoon moon. Just shows how much care goes into this place. I’ve not added any photos of the room as the ones provided so it justice. Unlike other untrustworthy places in Hanoi (including hotels). Do yourself a favour and book this place now. You won’t regret it. Thank...
Read moreLe was an absolute superstar host! I booked her property for my wife's birthday, and Le went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. She helped decorate the house, found the perfect cake, and was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. My wife absolutely loved the surprise! Le's care and attention to detail truly shone through. She recently installed a brand new jacuzzi, which was a wonderful way to relax after a day of exploring. Le genuinely cares about her guests' experience, and it shows. She even provided helpful recommendations throughout our stay. We couldn't recommend Le...
