I came here with my family on a Tuesday afternoon. We received vouchers for free samples if you stayed at nearby hotels. Although, you don't need the vouchers to redeem these samples. These samples were Hershey's kisses and below are my thoughts on each flavours:
Creamy Milk 🥛 This creamy milk has a real creamy texture. I found to to be very smooth and it has a touch of cocoa in it which makes the taste really pleasing. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and I would give this flavour a fire 🔥.
Cookies 'n' Cream 🍪 This is a white chocolate based creamy chocolate with chunks of chocolate cookies which adds a nice crunch to the chocolate. While the sweetness level is a bit high, it is for those who appreciate and enjoy white chocolate. I would give this flavour a 'not bad'.
Almond 🥜 This was legendary and my favourite flavour out of the three. That is going to get a 'WOW' moment 😋. Adding almonds to a bar of chocolate not only gives a crunch but also richness. It makes it a good option to satisfy your sweet cravings. If you love the classic combination of chocolates and almonds, this combination will work wonders on your palette.
Enter into Hershey's Chocolate World through a 4-storey high Hershey's Chocolate Bar and experience everything this sweet store has to offer. It is located on Falls Avenue which is steps away from the spectacular Niagara Falls.
Inside the store you would find unique Hershey's merchandise, all of your favourite Reese's, Twizzlers, Jolly Rancher products and specialty items like Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars and Reese's peanut butter cups.
Be sure to stop by the fresh food counter and taste all of the delicious sweets and baked goods made fresh in store. You can indulge in chocolate-dipped strawberries, sample of Hershey's gourmet fudge offered in an assortment of custom flavours and enjoy a frosty treat with a Hershey's signature milkshake.
Around the store, you would also find Hershey's kisses brand characters in front of an amazing replica of the world famous Niagara falls. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture all of these special moments and take your sweetest memories home with you!
Hershey's Chocolate World is definitely the sweetest store in the city. It is a well known spot for tourist to come try out their chocolate deliciousness. I would recommend stopping by Hershey's Chocolate World if you are...
Read moreAlthough Hershey's chocolate is not particularly all that great, and the place is overly expensive, there's something about this place that makes me come back everytime I visit Niagara.
As others have stated, the items here are very pricey, but that's also probably because you can't find them anywhere else (I mean, a Gildan t-shirt with the Reese logo will set you back about $26 CAD - I can make my own for about $10!!). However most of the other stuff is pretty cute, and is not easily duplictable.
I was also under the false belief that since this was near the chocolate "factory" that some of the chocolate products would actually be a bit cheaper....but no! The same bars and bags you'd find at your local grocer are actually about $2 here lol.
What is worth it though are the treats they make at the front of the store - the cookies, cupcakes, shakes, pretzels and other goodies, are all unique to this store.
We actually ended buying a bunch of the cookies - which we thoroughly enjoyed btw (double chocolate was the best) - as well as the chocolate milkshake. Although everyone talks about the milkshake, I found out it wasn't for me. Super thick and super sweet, it's the equivalent of trying to slurp down a DQ Blizzard (which is also a third of the price) through a skinny straw. I'd definitely pass on that anytime.
Despite the negatives, this place is still worth a visit even if you just wanna browse at all the Hershey merch and only to pick up some...
Read moreWhile the store itself was visually appealing, my visit left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to the cost and the service.
First Impressions & Atmosphere: The store was neat and impeccably clean, with all the classic Hershey products and branded merchandise neatly displayed.
Service: More Functional Than Friendly: Unfortunately, the service was undeniably mediocre at best. The staff were efficient enough in handling transactions, but there was a distinct lack of warmth or genuine engagement.
The Sweet Redemption: Food & Drinks (But at a Cost): Where the store truly shone was in its edible offerings. We tried the cheesecake and a milkshake, and both were absolutely delicious. The cheesecake was rich, creamy, and everything you'd hope for from a decadent dessert. The milkshake was perfectly blended, thick, and bursting with flavor – a genuine treat.
However, this deliciousness came with a significant caveat: both items were expensive. While the quality was undeniable, the price point for these individual treats felt steep, pushing the experience into the "overpriced" category that the store's general merchandise already hinted at.
Conclusion: This Hershey store is a visually pleasing establishment with some genuinely tasty (and indulgent) food items. If you're looking for a quick, delicious dessert and don't mind paying a premium for it, or if you simply want to browse a very clean and well-stocked Hershey-themed shop, it's...
