I had a poor experience with the staff at the store who mocked us on asking some questions and led me to decide that I will never visit Popeye’s and rather go back to places like Amazon where I am not being judged for my curiosity.
I visited the store to pick up my monthly supply of isolate whey protein with my husband today at around 7 pm. The store has been out of stock of their popular vanilla flavoured protein supplement for some time now, last month we had picked up a different flavour and did not like it.
We are just getting started with our fitness journey and have many question regarding any supplements that we purchase. We were asking if they could recommend any other brand which will give us the same nutrition benefit but comes in vanilla flavour. This question confused the staff and they started smirking they said all the brands are basically the same with minor differences. This was not a good enough answer so we pointed to two brands on the shelf and asked whats the difference between these two? They were just bursting out with laughter at this question too and said that basically they are different brands and one of them has a component which makes protein absorption easier. When we again asked that whether its tastes the same the guy completely lost control started smirking and said vanilla is vanilla. But the guy from the counter kind of got our question and said that it is not exactly the same to taste though both have flavour mentioned as vanilla. The one we came looking for popularly tastes the best and we can consider the newly recommended brand as a close second. I would have definitely picked up the recommended one but at this point the staff chatting with us turned around looked at the guy at the counter and started making faces, smirking and discussing about us in hushed voices. Anyone at the store could understand how embarrassed we were made to feel by these two guys and I decided never to visit the store again. As I left the store I could see both of them laughing it away with not a single care that they just lost a customer who had come back to their store for the third time and returned empty handed. Such glorious return to...
Read moreReview of Popeyes Supplement Store at Yonge and Adelaide I recently had a fantastic experience at the Popeyes Supplement Store located at Yonge and Adelaide, largely thanks to the outstanding assistance provided by Mayra. During my visit, I was in search of collagen and multivitamins, and Mayra was incredibly knowledgeable about these products. She took the time to explain the benefits of each option and helped me find exactly what I needed to support my health goals. Her enthusiasm for the products really made a difference—I felt supported throughout the entire decision-making process. I ended up purchasing both the collagen and multivitamins, and Mayra ensured I was well-informed about how to use them effectively. Her patient and engaging approach made my shopping experience not only pleasant but also enlightening. Overall, I left the store feeling confident about my purchases and excited to incorporate these supplements into my routine. I highly recommend Popeyes Supplement Store, especially with Mayra's expertise guiding you. If you’re looking for quality products and excellent customer service, this is definitely the...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews on Google, but I’ve been considering posting one about this store for several months.
While I prefer supporting local businesses over online shopping, my experience with this store has been disappointing.
The only positive aspect has been the guy at the checkout today, who consistently provides excellent service, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed. THANK YOU.
However, despite spending hundreds of dollars here, I’ve encountered issues with product quality. I have purchased multiple shakers, two of which have broken spontaneously without any impact. When I gently showed the pictures of my broken shaker to one of the employees today he only said that there is not proof of purchase, and simply suggested "buying a new one".
My issue isn’t the price or product breakage—it’s the way they speak to customers. If it happened once, I wouldn’t leave a review, but it’s every time. They got irritated when you ask questions. I leave disappointed despite being a respectful, polite, and loyal customer.
This review may not matter to you, but for future customers, I hope you choose...
