One of my top favorite experiences in Croatia!!!! This tour came highly recommended by a co-worker of mine who had taken it the summer before. My husband and I had meant to book the tour in advance, as we were traveling to Croatia for our honeymoon and knew the dates far enough in advance, but hadn’t managed to get around to it until we arrived to the country. We were staying a few days on Hvar island and decided to reach out last-minute to Damir in hopes we could squeeze into a tour the next day. Sure enough, Damir was super responsive, detailed, and accommodating. He got us locked in for a tour the next day! (THANKS DAMIR!) My husband and I headed over to the check-in point and met with the 3 other couples we’d be spending the day with. The skippers, Marco and Ivan, met up and took us to the boat- a 10 seater cruiser that really let us take in the sights from island to island. I can’t even tell you every spot we saw but it was a day full of amazing island hopping, swimming in the jewel-tone sea, exploring underwater caves, natural jacuzzis, cliff jumping into the sea, hidden beaches, authentic food, fun facts and history lessons, and best of all we were lucky enough to spot a family of dolphins nearby! Marco and Ivan were THE BEST! They explained so much, took us to authentic spot where the locals hang, and never rushed or pressured any of us to do or not to do anything along the route. They were so helpful and accommodating and really are true pros. It’s true that there are many other excursions and tours to the surrounding islands and to the Blue Cave and Green Cave, but Illirio’s “3 Cave Tour” is sooooo much more. My co-workers recommendation was the real MVP of the excursions we took in Croatia. I HIGHLY suggest if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience, go out any buy yourself some water shoes then call up Damir and BOOK THIS TOUR! You will not regret it one...

With just 4 days in Hvar last month, we wanted to make the most of each day, and knew we wanted one of those days to be out on the ocean exploring. We did our research, and based on this great blog (linked below) decided on the Ilirios Three Cave Tour.
The tour itself is amazing. Damir made sure to share his knowledge of the islands, their history and wildlife (without talking our ears off) making the time of the boat fun and interesting while en route to the next breathtaking spot.
You stop at a gorgeous swimming spot first, clear waters and a pebble beach. There is a small bar on the beach if you’re needing refreshments too. Then on to the blue cave- there is a bit of a wait but it is nice! Then on to a sandy beach and incredible lunch spot where you will be well taken care of. There are a few extra stops which are all great! This was such a perfect day for us, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
You can’t book online- but don’t stress. Damir was in touch within hours of sending an enquiry on their website. They give so much info so there’s no confusion about where to go or how to meet- and it is very central in the harbour so convenient from anywhere in Hvar.
Croatia is a beautiful country, and it is hard to take it all in if you are on a short trip- Ilirios Hvar Tours Three Cave Tour helps you to see some of the very best...
Read moreWe booked this Three Caves tour last min (late afternoon a day before ) and and was lucky to have 2 more place left. The responder was super quick on email. But I would advice to book 2-3 days earlier if possible. It was a great tour with lots of stop for hidden hotspot. Although we are advice not to enter one of the hidden spot but due to weather condition, personally, I think our skipper (Antonio) did a good job as safety to all on board should always comes first. He was funny and full of information. All on board had fun listening to him on stories he told us about the history and the geographic of the place. Blue caves was great although I was just 5 min stop on the boat, but green caves was just ok. If you are on a budget, I would advice to skip the green caves. The skipper will bring you to better hidden spot that are free and better than the green caves. Bring some additional cash for lunch, our bill come around 270kn for 2 meal and a salad plus a drink. Credit Card is mostly not acceptable in small island and additional excursion. Also, be extra careful with the ladder when coming up to the boat every time after the swim. My husband got a pretty deep cut on his finger due to the hinge of the ladder of the boat. Overall, we had a super great day tour with this company and are happy about the...
