The Läderach team did a phenomenal job of opening up their first Paris location. It is conveniently located on Rue de Rivoli, providing for a smorgasbord of chocolate options for anyone shopping at Samaritaine or anywhere in the vicinity.
The layout is thematically organized and aesthetically pleasing. You have everything from their signature barks (or “tablets” in their vernacular)…to a variety of truffles…and then chocolate bars, packaged combinations, a “snack” section, and even a vegan area to incorporate cashew milk and other considerations. You should explore accordingly. If you enjoy any version of chocolate, you will inevitably find something that caters to your taste(s).
The staff is nothing short of wonderful. Ultra knowledgeable and accommodating. Willing to answer any and all questions. And their passion for Läderach and chocolate generally is reflected in the nature of the interactions. Gustavo is one of the many valuable employees here; it is not often that you encounter someone who is fluent in six languages but eager to dedicate his talents towards chocolate.
Paris already has an enviable chocolate scene. Yet, Läderach figured out a way to carve another niche within this...
Read moreI love this chocolate very much, I buy it in Switzerland and England, being in Paris I also decided to go in and was very disappointed with the French service. We came at 19:00, Google says that the store is open until 20:00 and on the store itself there is a sign stating that the store is open until 20:00. The sellers said that they had business in the store and they would not let us in. At the same time, other visitors came, they did not let them in either. A big request to work with the staff, otherwise you are giving the brand a very bad reputation and reviews in Google, scaring away potential customers. In Switzerland and Britain the service was great, I think in Paris it is also striving for something! If I had not tried this chocolate earlier, I would never have returned to your brand. But I understand that this is a local problem and judging by the bad ratings in Google reviews in Paris, something needs...
Read moreVery surprised to find Laderach in Paris. I have only had it in Switzerland. I thought the Swiss stores were more focused on the chocolate sheets, they had more gnomes and things outside of their staple. There was a huge Eiffel Tower made of Chocolate, pretty awesome. First piece I asked to be smaller, said they must have a min of __ grams. I asked how much it was and it was 150 grams. Not sure why I had to hear the rules first when they didn’t apply. I asked if she can break the piece in half, no problem. I was a little annoyed that some of the pre broken pieces I had were under the min. Weight. But I guess as long as someone else created the small piece she could sell it, but couldn’t make me a small piece. I ended up spending over 50 euros. Lots of great dark chocolate options. Was surprised at how thick some of the sheets were. It was closed the night before when we walked past it,...
