The landlady has a pending case of attempt to murder against her in the Ernakulam High Court. Additionally, she habitually extorts guests by filing false cases against them (her brother is a policeman at the Fort Kochi Station). For your safety, do not visit.||||Onto the homestay itself, it is poorly managed. The rooms are miserable and highly overpriced. Cleaning occurs only once every three to four days. Cats habitually prance about at night leavin unsavoury 'presents' behind that are not cleaned as they should be. The kitchen also has a roach and bandicoot infestation. There are plenty of other, reasonably priced, and overall better options within a kilometre's radius of this homestay.||||As for her meals and cooking classes, her food is passable; it isn't the best available in the area. My partner and I have stayed here twice in recent months. The first time we stayed in one of the front bedrooms for four nights. It was clean, nicely decorated and furnished and most of the time had hot water. It also had a really nice balcony to sit and relax whilst watching the world go by. It's a little noisy at the front of the house but it is on a main road so to be expected. The owner is a really friendly woman who made us feel welcome. ||||We went back a few weeks later but there was only one room available, this time at the back of the house. This room felt very different to the other that we'd stayed in. It was in need of a paint job, in need of a clean, and the shower head needed replacing. We wanted somewhere comfortable to stay as it's our last stop in India before we move on, but this was not right for us.
