If you want a carbon steel or even a stainless steel knife this is the place to go!

Owner is super friendly with good English. I tried speaking some Japanese to him but didn’t know some words so in a mixture of English and Japanese he helped me out. He even made some jokes about Bulgaria.

Engraving is free and takes 2 minutes! He let me take a video of the process.

After the purchase you can ask for tax free and he will give you pamphlet with a stamp you take to the office of Kapabashi a few blocks away. Got 5% back on...

Came to Kappabashi St. looking for a knife, regretfully ended up buying somewhere else — when I came in to this shop, Abe-san, his wife and son, were able to educate me much more on Japanese knifes and let me know honestly if I got a good deal. I bought a knife protector for a reasonable price. They also offer free engraving if you buy a knife.
