Use only as a last resort. I booked last minute for a weekend and little else in the area was available for less than 5500¥ per night. If you are at all sensitive to cigarette smoke refuse to stay on the 3rd floor. There is a smoking room right next to the 3rd floor tiny common area and it fills the entire floor with cigarette smoke whenever it's used. I believe it's a big mistake for them to keep that space available for shipping since it ruins it for everyone else when a single person decides to chain smoke. They moved me to the 4th floor when I requested and the air was clean and it was well ventilated and didn't get stuffy at night like it's common in other similar places. You will have to keep all your clothes in your suitcase since the only lockers are sized to only fit a handbag or a hat. There is a separate box available for your shoes. There is no changing space. You will have to dress in your bunk or a toilet stall. It is a mixed gender space so dressing in the hallway would be inappropriate. The shades on the bunks are not opaque and let in a lot of sunlight or ceiling lights. The bathrooms and showers are serviceable. Fresh towels are available at any time from a stack. There is no staff present most of the day so if there's a problem with your booking or the facilities you will need to contact through your booking agency. When contacted via Agoda they were relatively responsive and responded...
Read moreWhile the staff doesn't show up until 3pm every day, they are still helpful when available. If security is a concern, there is no need, as they have cameras in the hallways, so anybody tries something, they'll know who done it. I recently broke my elbow, and I found I was put in an upper bunk. This would make it hard for me to climb into the bed every time. I requested a lower bunk and had no issues. Toilets are clean, and showers are hot. (Unless you want cold water for some reason?)
It's located smack in the middle of the shopping (mall?) area, so its easy to find food. (Try the Kebab Factory)
It's a hostel, so if privacy is a concern, I would not advise it. But having been to a hostel in Oregon, and a hotel in Peru, I found this one to be much better than both. Though I do advise to bring a small fan if you...
Read moreIt’s a hotel that’s much better than its price! I stayed in a cabin-type room, small but perfect for one person. During my stay, there weren’t many guests, so it was quiet, peaceful, and quite clean.
The self check-in process was easy, and the hotel felt safe.
📍The location is right next to Asakusa Temple and close to several train lines, which is very convenient. There’s also a Donki nearby, along with a drugstore, 7-Eleven, and plenty of food options.
If I get the chance, I’ll definitely stay here again!
✴️ There’s a Tokyo Curry Pan shop right next to the hotel. They only sell 30 pieces a day, and it’s...
