Read moreI came here to buy knives as gifts. Based off of previous reviews regarding customer service, I was excited to come here. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience like everyone else did along with the customers that visited the shop the same time as me. There were lots of knives hanging on the wall behind the glass counters that I wanted to look at it, but no one seemed interested in greeting me/asking what I was looking for. I could hear the frustration from other customers as well as we all had been there for more than 15 minutes. They have a few knives outside of the glass counters to look at, so I along with 2 other customers could look at this selection. If I had gone knife shopping during the beginning of my trip, I'd probably would have skipped this shop and gone somewhere else. I waited until the day I was due to fly back home to knife shop here since the reviews were good. Since I needed the knives as gifts, I bought 2 santoku knives that they already had out in display without speaking to any of the employees except the cashier when checking out. I was so sad to find out that if you walk further past the shop, there is another knife shop not too far. I wished I would have gone there instead. Maybe it was an off day that I came? For now, I will research other...
Read moreHad very high hopes after seeing many posts/videos on social media about this store and from the numerous positive reviews. Unfortunately, in reality, it turned out to be the exact opposite.
We went about 30 mins right after it was supposed to “open” at 10 and they were still closed. Looked like there were a few other patrons also wandering/waiting in front of the store when we got there. So we decided to walk down the street to visit a few other stores and come back in a bit.
When we finally came back to the store, there were three female store attendants behind the counter busy chatting amongst themselves. Unless spoken to, they basically ignored customers that walked in.
We left and happened to stumble upon another knife store, Musashi, a few stores down. And right as we entered, the vibe was much much better. We were immediately greeted and helped basically right away and ended up purchasing from them instead. They had people speaking and helping customers in multiple...
