i do agree with the other comments that, having a 90-min limit to the afternoon tea session was too little. i think they aimed to provide a full enjoyment of the set, with lots of food, nice tea and coffee, so how could people stuff everything in the mouth in just 90 minutes with that quantity? this is why i give only 3 stars at "service".

i booked for a premium festive afternoon tea during Christmas time (it was about 1 month back). all the decorations and vibes here was so festive. once we're seated, we've served with some champagne (included in the set). a great enjoyment with the view of outside too.

the set came very amazing! lovely little cakes at the top and middle tier. my best pick was the mont-blanc, then the nurghurt. each of them were a well mix & match of two ingredient at least. that's the lovely design from the chef. but i think most of them actually was far too sweet. the little savouries were good too! there's a puff with tuna foam paste, that one was really tasty. other than that, since it's Christmas, they do also offer a slice of pound cake. so overall the tea set contained very heavy carbs!

also included with the set, we had a box of 4 little chocolates to take back with. that's a lovely meal.

Made a reservation for high tea at night and it wasn't busy so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I assume most people would go for the day or afternoon tea time session. When I arrived at the hotel entrance, I was directed to the elevator which goes directly to the lounge floor, and from there walked a bit through some corridor before some staff guided me to my table. The staff explained what is included in the high tea set and how the free flow drinks work (last order is 30 minutes before the two hour seating). All the items were high quality, especially the desserts; they were all very tasty, exhibiting different textures and were not too sweet so it was enjoyable until the end. The staffs were also very attentive, friendly and welcoming; as soon as I have finished my drink they will offer to take my next order without delay. The tea and coffee list was quite extensive and also of good quality; I ended up trying six different drinks which paired well with the scone and sweets. Note that some teas excluding the Japanese teas are served in teapots which have about four cups worth. 23년 4월에 오픈한 럭셔리호텔의 대명사 불가리 호텔 도쿄의 애프터눈티를 참가합니다. 5월 도쿄여행때 가보려고 노력했지만 이미 6월까지 풀부킹이라 실패합니다.

이후로 10월 도쿄여행 준비때도 매일 예약사이트를 들락거렸지만 공석은 아무리 찾아도 없더군요. 반쯤 포기하며 11월 도쿄여행을 위해 언제나처럼 들어가 봅니다.

그런데 말입니다. 9월10일에 들어 갔을때 12시대, 14시대, 16시대에만 열리던 예약이 11월부터는 18시대가 새롭게 추가되고 예약생성이 되어가는걸 발견합니다.

여행기간중 갈 수 있는 날들을 넣어 보는데, 하루가 딱 비어 있었구요. 후다닥 예약완료까지 얼떨결에 성공하게 됩니다. 40회 이상 도전끝에 승리를 하는 순간입니다. 기쁩니다.

거대한 문으로 숨겨져 있습니다. 라운지를 예약했다고 말씀드리고 40F까지 엘리베이터로 오릅니다. 로비층에 라운지도 함께 합니다. 첫번째 자리로 안내받습니다.

라운지는 호텔 리셉션 휴게공간과 레스토랑 사이에 약 7테이블이 있더군요. 2인석이 5곳정도이고 소파테이블석이 2곳입니다. 그러니까 매타임 7팀정도만 참가할 수 있습니다.

이래서 예약이 힘들었었나 봅니다~!!! 보통 2시간에서 많게는 3시간30분까지도 주어지는 시간이 이곳은 90분입니다. 노미호다이의 라스트오더도 그래서 60분입니다.

그러나 시간은 중요하지가 않더군요. 일단 커피와 차는 레귤러로 제공됩니다. 라떼, 다즐링, 호지차, 아이스티까지 다양하게 즐깁니다. 맛도 훌륭합니다.

커피를 한모금 마시고 장실 및 로비 구경 겸사 다녀옵니다. 리셉션은 크지는 않지만 분위가가 압권이고 화장실도 역시나 끝내줍니다. 불가리 핸드로션도 비치되어 있구요.

자리에 도착하고 잠시 지나자 트레이가 들어옵니다. 상세설명이 이어집니다. 스콘과 이탈리아 카프리섬에서 유래된 카프레제(초콜릿케이크)가 별도로 플레이팅 됩니다.

테이블웨어는 이태리 명품 그릇 브랜드인 리차드지노리를 사용하는군요. 디시나 티팟, 찻잔세트까지 모두 동일 에디션으로 균형감을 맞추어 내놓습니다.

세이보리를 이태리에서는 살라토라 부르는군요. 스위츠는 많이 들어본 단어인 돌체라고 부르구요. 살라토가 4종이고 돌체가 6종에 이탈리안 스콘으로 구성되어 있습니다.

스콘은 크기도 빵처럼 크고 겉에는 설탕소재로 보이는 코팅과 건과일이 박혀 있는게 이채롭습니다. 그런데 이게 뭐죠? 달면서도 달지 않은게 녹습니다. 클로티드크림과도 어울리구요.

이렇게 맛있는 스콘은 또 처음입니다. 고급재료들이 들어간 세이보리류들도 모두 갓벽한 맛이구요. 디저트들은 하나같이 그냥 미친맛입니다. 어나더레벨입니다.

입에 들어가면 절로 미소가 지어지며 입이 어느새 귀에 걸려 있고 흥얼거리는 제 자신을 발견합니다. 깊은 차맛은 또 어떻구요. 모든게 예술의 경지입니다.

40F에 위치하지만 창밖으로는 야경이 잘보이지 않고 유리가 반사되어 잘보이지 않습니다. 직원분들이 첫번째 위치한 제자리 옆쪽에 있는 문으로 나가서 대화도 나누시더군요.

음료 리필주문때 여쭤 봅니다. 테라스카페인데 지금 시간에는 운휴중이라고 하는군요. 나가볼 수 있냐고 다시 물어보니 데려다 주시겠다며 손을 내밀어 주는군요.

직원분이 문을 열어주시고 야외 테라스로 나가는 순간 입틀막을 하고 마는데요. 눈앞에 도쿄역쪽 마루노우치 고쿄쪽 야경이 펼쳐지는군요. 테라스석 조명도 모두 켜져 있어 아름답습니다.

입호강을 한 직후 이렇게 눈호강까지 하다니 그렇게 5분여동안 혼자만의 밤의 테라스까지 관람하고선 직원분께 엄지척을 날려 드리며 감사의 인사를 드립니다. 마지막까지 환상적인 시간을...
