Aux Délices de Dodine — Restaurant in Tokyo

Very candidly I would I was greatly disappointed by this restaurant. Their mindset/service to me resonated 0% with Japanese hospitality. Creating a "false hype" around a place of exclusivity to attract popularity is a very bad business mindset. You might have great Dinner time experience because in Japan everyone knows that dinner are expensive and good quality however lunch in business district is good quality and reasonably priced. Serving a good lunch shows value of your service!

Initial 2 times I went around 12:30 and either there was a line or food finished at 1pm by the time my number came- OK no problem.

Last week I went at 11:20 stood in line for 30 mins happily and was excited to get in around 11:50 ish. I was astonished when they said in the menu of 3 items already 2 are over. Now I questioned them that you open at 11 and in 40mins your main dish is finished. Is that a joke given its unlike a ramen store where many people eat quickly!!! This is a french restaurant so ideally few people have come in only and this means you advertise a false hype to win customers by deliberately making extremely less given you are serving at a low cost.

This is something when I shared around Otemachi area colleagues they mentioned as well and I was quite shocked to see the google reviews where no pointed such basic customer satisfaction points.

Unbelievable, the waiters is the worst that I had to face. I arrived with my friend, we were 2 and I was very dehydrated, just 2 seconds after sitting and before order I decide to take a tips of small water bottle that I had. The waiters run to me and agrees me, he touched me (during corona time it’s not the best) and he removed the bottle from my mouth before that I finished. He scream on me and was so humiliated, he didn’t use proper Japanese and didn’t use any politeness sentence, he talk to me like his friend. Went in about 8 pm on a Friday night, me and one other person that was also American. We were walking around the area trying to find a nice place for dinner and thought this looked very good. We were told they were closed and walked out the door. The restaurant was mostly full with a couple open tables and the open kitchen making food. Everyone seated was Asian and we would have been the only non Asian people in the restaurant. We were dressed nicely in business casual coming from meetings. It was embarrassing for us that we would not be served and the restaurant should be extremely embarrassed that they would turn away non Asian visitors looking to enjoy a good meal and experience...
