If you look for a respectful shopping experience, skip Swarkovski at Dam 6. If unavoidable, avoid asking for help from a woman staff who has an Asian appearance and black hair.
I was standing in the shop for a few minutes waiting for help and when I saw a staff who stood alone at the entrance for awhile already, I asked if I could get help from her, she didn't even make any eye contacts with me and just asked me to wait, then she stood at the same place for another minute...
When she was FINALLY able to help, I asked if I could have a look of one of the jewelry in the cabinet. Immediately after my request, another customer who just came in asked her a question. And without hesitation this staff turned away and left me alone.
I saw another staff passed by so I asked if he could show me the jewelry that I have asked for because apparently this lady staff was too occupied for someone after me. This lady staff, out of surprise, threw the product on the table and asked her colleague to show me.
When I was checking out, I clearly heard that this lady staff made a racial remark on me behind my back in Dutch with another colleague on the shop floor. Perhaps she thought that I am a tourist so she was bold enough to speak ill of a customer openly in Dutch. Sadly I understand Dutch and I was the only one who has the ethnicity this staff referred to.
I regret the purchase there and I think I will return the product because the product reminds me such an awful experience, not the joy of adding a new item in my collection.
20 August 2024: As a follow up of my previous review, I checked on the company's website for instructions to return an in-store purchase. There were no such instructions available. I sent a message to the customer service asking for the method to return my purchase. The message I got was basically: you may try to ask the store yourself, I couldn't give an answer. There could be a chance to get a refund depending on how the store wants to proceed. The whole experience made me wonder how the frontend staff and the customer service were trained (or if there has been any proper training provided to the staff at all) at Swarovski. Customer satisfaction is not a concern for this company...
Read moreThe quality of customer service has to be changed. We purchased a necklace in store, and the employee didn’t mention the return policy. I contacted the customer service line and was told that I’ll be able to get my refund in store, but when coming to the store of original purchase I was told to go to another location as there was no manager of the store working (?). After walking to the other location I was told the same thing, and even told that I contacted the customer service regarding my inquiry, but the employees at the store just shook their heads saying that they can’t do anything. I don’t understand the difference between the service online and offline, why is there even a customer support option on the website if I can’t use it properly? I still want to get the money back from my purchase which was...
Read moreThe sales representative lady with dark hair in the store talks in a very disrespectful way and when I asked for new season sun glasses she didnt want to show and said we have a lot of models downstairs, I cannot bring them all and asked me to show. I told it is already the one in the show window but pink color she didnt know about the product. I didnt want to continue my dialogue with her and said thank you I will check in another Swarowski store she shouted WEIRD after me. I have been shopping from many Swarowski stores in Europe and for the first time I experiences such a behaviour. I will also contact with Swarowski HQ as I think this kind of behaviours and service ruins the image of this...
