Read moreGreat selection of beers, but very rude and unhelpful staff, which totally ruins the joy from beer. I wouldn’t go here again and would prefer some nicer and friendlier place. Here it felt as the staff is doing me favor by serving beer or food and I was looking forward to go away from here. Will remove this place from my map, especially taking into account there are another good beer places around with much better vibe. While I was here,I felt the people working here were absolutely unhappy and unwelcoming. Among other comments, while ordering snacks and beer here, the staff has pointed out couple of times, that they are a beer place and I should concentrate more on ordering beer, rather than snacks. Not just this was inappropriate, but this comment is strange, since there is also a food menu here. If it claimed to be a purely beer place — why to offer food and snacks at all? And if the food is offered, why to discourage people from ordering it? The staff also made rude comments about which food we ordered and it seemed they didn’t want to do serve it all. It looked like they were doing a favor cooking anything. The other thing is I asked to plug in my phone for a minute so I can order an Uber. They told they cannot do it, because they are closing, even though the place was still open for another 30 mins and I have ordered another beer literally...
Read moreThe selection is impressive, I often wonder how they manage to bring such peculiar beers to Europe, sometimes from very small breweries. I wish I liked the place more than I do. Here are my concerns after visiting several times over the last 12 months: The staff is not knowledgeable and passionate enough about the product they serve. They only have 2/3 types of glass. The selection gravitates too heavily towards IPAs, but this is just a reflection of the US beer scene. It happened too frequently that the beer I ordered would not be in top shape. Which is understandable since the beer comes from the US, but I expect the staff to know better. I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere, but I guess that's personal. The space itself does feel a bit tight though.
I hope this can be seen as constructive criticism. I know that you can always drink incredible beers at BeerTemple, and this is a unique feat in the Netherlands. It's just been quite inconsistent in...
