it was, by far, the worst year in my life, while dealing with GJG Rodney in 2022 its our 3rd house build, and a second with GJG(huge mistake). Never again. Yes, our build with Rodney Residential was a NIGHTMARE too. Yes, it was dragging for months and months with no progress, house sitting with no roof under a rain with 12 inches of water sitting on the floor boards for months. Council inspection forced to re-do some framing after it started to rot!

Yes, We , too, had 3 different project managers who didn't really know how to manage anything. And absolutely spot on here:- with all armature, cheapest in town subcontractors, using their apprentices to do the work and then re-do the work weeks later. Extremely lack of responsibility and lack of work integrity or professionalism and quality. they were only good at sending invoices for all sorts of variations and time extensions. Yes, at the end, they've paid us $450 per week for 7 weeks deadline delay. Only 7 weeks where the actual delay was over 20 weeks, at least, (they've found some excuses).That's on a face of us loosing $850 on rent per week. I would not recommend anyone to deal with GJG Rodney. I will never again deal...

2022 was an incredibly difficult year for everyone, and the building industry in particular. But throughout my very recent build, Ross and Elaine Morley and their team were kind, patient, understanding and utterly professional. Towards the end, Ross really pulled out all the stops, so that they could hand over the house to me in time for Christmas. My late husband and I have had 7 new houses built for us over the years in NZ; 2 of which have been with GJGardner , and 4 in the UK. We have felt completely at ease with the process in GJGardner's care. Ross built a new house for us back in 1993, before he took on his GJGardner franchise. I am now an elderly widow, and would recommend this GJGardner franchise to anyone, young or old, with any budget, using GJGardner's plans, or their own.
