Ski Hire Queenstown — Local services in South Island

DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS COMPANY! We attempted to hire skis and snowboards for a group of us and added helmets to our hire. We had to pay before we were able to try anything on and when we went to grab helmets there were none that fit, the staff were great and took us out the back but unfortunately they didn’t have any that fit or were appropriate. They couldn’t refund us apparently and advised we contact management for our refund of the hire of helmets. Management took ages to respond and apparently “can’t find our booking”. We are always speaking to someone different! They have run us around the block with their disorganisation. Management has told us that we were not supposed to pay before being fitted. There is a clear miscommunication between staff and management! There are plenty of cheaper and better hire places about in Queenstown that are much more...

⚠️ BUYER BEWARE! Avoid hiring gear from this place wherever possible. Very shady and skulldugerous operation who you cannot expect any balanced customer service from. Received incorrect fitted boots, then was expected to somehow find replacement equipment on-mountain through them and still use their equipment for the duration of the hiring period. AVOID!! The gear is in shocking condition, our skis were heavily chipped. Plus their terms for changing an order are absurd, there's no need to charge 20% of the total for a change 3 months in advance. We were also assured over the phone that we absolutely wouldn't have an issue getting helmets on the day but that was a lie. They were also only letting people pick up their gear on the day of going up the slopes, unlike everwhere else that lets you pick up a day before.
