Siam — Local services in Pathum Wan Subdistrict

It is an above the ground BTS sky train station (Bangkok Mass Transit Station, BTS in short). Subway probably most interpret by Thai as referring to MRT (MASS RAILWAY TRANSIT, a subway, underground). There is no MRT station at Siam or Siam Paragon.

I do not intend to write so much about what's in Siam Paragon shopping mall in this post (you may browse some of my videos and photos for a glimpse, by the way, i also shot some scenes of the pride parade, probably on an annual basis, going on under the skybridge from chidlom to siam paragon), i 'd like to provide a guide here on BTS Siam's role as an interchange stations to travel on two different routes: the SUKHUMVIT LINE, and the CHIDLOM LINE.

On the top floor of BTS Siam station: Platform 2 (sukhumvit line) goes to terminal station Khu Khot, via Ratchathewi as next station On the top floor of BTS Siam: Platform 4 (Silom line) goes to National Stadium (terminus)

On the second floor of the station: Platform 3 (Silom line) goes to Bangwa terminus via Ratchdamri On the second floor (the opposite side): Platform 1 (sukhumvit line) terminus is Kheha via Chitlom

The ground floor of station Siam is ticket booth and ticket office, exit 1-6

i can IMAGINE that most likely as tourist you will ONLY use TOP floor platform to go to ARL/BTS Phayathai or BTS Mochit (Chatuchak park), along Sukhumvit Line and you have no need to go to the end station at Khu Khot (yes, i love the Beatles song IMAGINE, and i am clever/empathetic to guess your mind!)

Siam BTS Station is where 2 BTS lines intersect, the Sukhumvit Line ( Light Green line) with 47 Stations & the Silom Line (Dark Green Line) with 14 Stations.

It is a very busy Station with many locals and tourist commuters. There are many tourist in this area because this station have access to Malls like Siam Paragon, Siam Square One, Siam Center which connects to Siam Discovery and there is also an elevated walkway from this station going to CentralwOrld. This area have congested roads most of the time. It's a good thing that there is a BTS Station here to avoid the congested road. There are Bank ATM around the station, ticket machines. BTS Siam station is the interchange station where you can take a train to go anywhere in BTS and is also the biggest BTS station. Siam station is surrounded by many large commercial centers. I recommend this station for people who are looking for clothes, accessories, seasonal events, strolling places, nice view, many people. The most efficient train spot to enter and exit BTS is the stair way down. Personally, I like to stand at the transparent wall attached to the seating row inside the train and lean towards it and look outside. Nice view. I Never going to get...
