CARE — Local services in Atlanta

I love the idea of the mission, I love that women and children are (possibly) getting help because as a feminist and a huge voice for women I want to help in anyway I can but the tactics used by this organization are damaging their own mission. I was completely shocked by the way their agents completely hound and stalk you. I ended up convinced it was a scam before being able to research it when we finally were able to walk away due to the aggressiveness.

They had 3/4 tents within a few feet of each other and if you manage to escape one more would hound you as you walk. We were trying to walk into the Georgia Aquarium with our children on a very strict timeframe and one of the agents literally ran after us to try to get us to donate. We explained we would check them out in the way out and we would have and we would have probably even donated, but instead they became even more pushy making it seem like a scam with a very pushy sells pitch which set off red flags and made us change our minds.

This isn’t the way to help women and children. Speaking about your message and sharing it while taking donations is the way to do it. This pushy sales pitch had people warning others before walking through to “go around another way” to avoid your agents. You’re losing people. I also want to add that we were also told it would be a one time donation and yet I am seeing this isn’t the case and had we donated it would have actually been a membership. one of this organizations reps constantly harrasses me everytime i go shopping near my job. i have told her to leave me alone, yet she tries to talk to me everytime i go there and makes little comments and even calls me names. she is extremely obnoxious and unprofessional, and when reported to the store they said theres nothing they can do because they work on the sidewalk feet away from the store but on public property. i think this company is a scam, the fact that when i called the number on their website the guy told me he's a subcontractor and is only taking overflow calls and there was no way to speak to someone that actually works for the company speaks volumes. beware of this company i think their just fraudsters trying to hustle...

Do not trust this Charity!!! Run away! I ignored all the 🚩🚩 … I wanted to pay with cash and they said they only take debit/credit!? The rep didn’t disclose that this would be an ongoing donation until after I agreed to donate … I still wanted to at least donate once, so I asked the rep, Can I cancel at any time. The rep said sure, but still kept trying to get me to support long term… long story short, I contacted this charity twice, and was told both times, that they canceled my subscription and that I would receive a confirmation email….I never received the email confirmation email!!! I had to call my bank to block them from future 30$ monthly...
