I love Macys and also was a former employee many years ago but my visit yesterday left the worst taste in my mouth. I went to find a pair of pumps and I selected two off the rack and asked the rep if I could get the other one to the pair she told me her shift was ending and the other girl (white shirt) was gonna check me out. Before the Hispanic woman left she brought the wrong size of shoe out but realized so she went to get the right one then came back and told me they didnât have my size. She was leaving because her shift was over so I asked if there wasnât another foot to the one that was on display because the display was my size. The girl in the white shirt snapped on me and visibly made it obvious she was annoyed by my question saying the other foot gets lost we donât have it without even checking. So I responded taken a back by her tone that I was just asking. She didnât apologize and ignored me while she checked out someone else. I waited patiently for her to finish and picked a similar style to the shoe I wanted off the rack and when she was done with the other customer I asked if they had my size in the alternative shoe. She snatched shoe from me and walked off sighing and huffing. She didnât let me know where she was going or if she was checking just continued to display her despicable behavior. I waited for a good 10 minutes for her to come back and when she did she threw a box on the counter with one shoe in it and attempted to walk off while saying the other shoe is over there somewhere in reference to the rack , so at this point I know sheâs purposely being rude and so I said can you get it ? She says no no I canât , waving me off and still walking away so I called after her and requested a manager. She did not acknowledge me or my request and had me standing there for a very long time while she helped customers who were after me . i called the corporate office to try to get in touch with a manager . Eventually she came back with a manager and while I was explaining to the supposed manager she started yelling over me while I was explaining what happened . The manager was very dismissive and acted like she didnât care to hear what I was explaining. She didnât reprimand the employee or apologize for the length of time I waited to the overt dismissal and disrespect I received from the employee she did nothing to try to make me feel valued as a customer. I donât feel someone who feels that comfortable disrespecting a customer just because their having a bad day and decided to come to work should be able to get away with that and that manager needs some training on customer satisfaction. They still ended up checking me out the wrong size of shoes and I just noticed this morning when I got up to head to the office and the shoes are slightly too big. Iâm so disappointed with my experience and the horrible customer service I...
Read moreI am giving them two stars because of the customer service. Melanie in the Ralph Lauren section has the nastiest attitude that I have ever seen in retail and at Lenox Mall. Today Macy's has a sale...for every $50 you spend you get $10...it's the holidays so I was shopping until I drop. One of the registers were extremely busy so I approached another associate in a different section to check me out. The associate (Melanie) immediately said, go to Polo, I said, it is busy can you check me out; she said again; go to Polo. Well, I walked back to the Lauren section and she walks over a couple of minutes later...why didn't she say, if you go back to the Polo area, I will check you out shortly. We'll she comes over 5 minutes later and proceed to check me out...full attitude. I had a question about the Macy's money promotion. As I try to ask her a question- she immediately says, I don't know how much money you have...well that was not the question. My question to her would have been if I return the items what is the penalty. She did not give me the chance to ask the question. My other question that I wanted to ask is if I am close to earning additional money let me know so that I can add to my purchase. She completed the transaction and threw the Macy's money card on the counter instead of giving it to me. At this point, I am furious. I walk away and I run into Charles, who is FABULOUS. I told him what was going on...he looks at my receipt and tell me that I only needed to spend an additional $2.00 to earn another $10 card...WOW. He asked if I wanted to talk to a manager, I said, no and continued to shop for additional items. As I came back to his register another customer was complaining about her attitude and customer service. At this point he stated that several people have complained to him. We told him that we wanted to speak to a manager. Leadership was called but they never came...go figure. Melanie's should be reprimanded and moved to a different department. Her attitude and personality should not be in the Lauren area. Macy's need to move her to the back of the house or maybe the parking lot...very little interaction with guest and no personality required. She is rude, unapproachable and dismissive. My holiday shopping experience was not pleasant. Macy's do better and train your your employees. She is an awful representative for your organization. I went to Bloomingdale's afterwards and it was like night and day. Ask your sister store to assist you with training...they know how to treat their customers. Another shout out to Charles for saving the...
Read moreI purchased a pre sale item last week and was told that I could pick it up anytime after Sunday. So I went in today to pick up, thinking I was going to be able run in, show my receipt, pick it up and go, only to be told that they couldn't find my pre sale item. Something that should've taken all of 5 minutes to pick up turned into a 45 minutes wait. First I was directed to another counter(I think it's called, At Your Service) , I go to that counter and hand my receipt to the cashier and she looks at me and says you have to go to the counter you purchased your item. I told her I did and that the lady at the Impulse counter told me to come here because she couldn't find my product at the cosmetics counter and it might be at, At Your Service counter. I then go back to the Impulse counter and the young lady then says she needs to find a manager. She walks around the cosmetics department and comes back to say she can't find a manger. She then goes to the Bobbi Brown counter to get assistance and the lady there tells her, she would have to return the product and have me purchase it again. I finally got my product after about 45 minutes. I was shocked at how she had to walk around to try and find a manager and despite how long I waited one never came around to assist in the matter. Macy's you need to do better with employees being able to get a hold of managers!!! There's no reason my transaction should've taken that long and no manager was...
