I went here today to file paperwork and had the most disgusting customer service experience I've had in a long time. Fellow reviewers, the reason that you can't get ahold of anyone when you call is because everyone that works here on the customer front is busy on their cell phones and displaying utter agitation whenever a customer interrupts them to actually do their job - that's in person so good luck getting them to answer the actual phone when they clearly don't even want to handle the customers in front of them. I literally laughed aloud when I approached one of the windows and said loudly "wow, you all must really hate your jobs! I have never seen such bad attitudes in a place of service!" I mean, seriously, the courthouse isn't quite the beach destination that anyone is happy to come to so must your demeanor as a customer service representative make my matters even worse? I hate to mention race here but the two CS representatives that I interrupted (sarcastically speaking) to do their job, were both black and while the stereotype of bad customer service amongst black people is one that I cringe about because I too am black, I can't help but acknowledge the truth here. Whenever someone writes a formal complaint, I beg of you, please make the suggestion of staff customer service re-training, if they ever had any. I don't need them to greet me with a smile and a coke but not looking at me with disgust after they look up from their phone with a look of "what the hell do you want?" would be a...
Read moreI had a very difficult eviction to handle and I made it to the magistrate office 15 minutes before closing, as it was an hour to get there due to traffic. I had to leave my elderly parents with fragile health with a caregiver.
The kind clerk understood my urgency and she went to the computers with me to help me file my case. (It is not easy to know what to type in the complex online application form and I've worked in the computer field for 40 years.) We finished just in time! but the system failed to take my credit card payment correctly even though the card was working fine. She was genuinely concerned for me and my difficult tenant situation.
So, I had to go home and come back early the next day. When I arrived they told me all the computer systems were not working for a few hours and folks were waiting till the systems came up again, to file the applications. I could not wait and leave my parents alone with a caregiver for a long time. The same clerk recognized me and she and another clerk asked the manager to help me asap. They all worked on it by hand and they got my eviction application processed quickly so I could go home and take care of my 2 parents more quickly. The Sheriff served the paperwork to my tenant within 6 days! (including 2 days during the weekend).
The online filing process for eviction is very very cumbersome but the people all treated me so professionally and with great care to work quickly due to my concern for my parents...
Read moreDear Atlanta Jury,
I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my recent court experience in case
ASHLEY DRAKE UNFIT AND UNFAIR
During the proceedings, I felt that the judge’s demeanor was unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. Many individuals, including myself, may not have extensive court experience, and it is reasonable to have questions about the process. However, rather than providing guidance, the judge responded in a manner that felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Specifically, I was nearly overlooked entirely when the mediators inquired whether they should leave early. The judge almost dismissed them without ever calling me up for my case. Additionally, after being instructed to retrieve an R31 document from the notary, I returned with some confusion regarding the next steps. Instead of receiving clarification, I was met with an unnecessarily aggressive response, with the judge loudly reiterating that no one should be communicating with anyone but her—despite the fact that I was simply seeking guidance.
I believe court proceedings should be conducted in a respectful and professional manner, ensuring that all participants understand the process. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further and request a follow-up call at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
