Our curator, Andrea took us on a fabulous walkIng tour of some of Atlanta’s most historic places along Cascade. I have lived in the Atlanta area for 26 years and have been told bits and pieces of Atlanta history along the way, not really understanding the impact of Atlanta leaders on our lives as Black people. At each mural, the explanation stimulated conversation of its meaning and memories of the times depicted and their meaning to each of us! Quite educational...
Read moreThe Mural Walk is a must-do tour when in the Atlanta area! I took this tour with Andrea McEachron aka Dr. Drea, a few months ago and was thrilled to enhance my knowledge of the history of this amazing Mecca of the South. Most recently I also took an awesome vacation trip to Cartegena, Columbia with the Mural Walk. Dr. Drea delivered once again. Her meticulous planning and attention to detail made this a fun-filled, eventful, historical and insightful trip to this beautiful city. I gained a lifetime of knowledge and memories and anxiously await my next adventure. I highly recommend the Mural Walk for your next getaway or...

She was not phased by boys being boys and running ahead. We walked the streets of Atlanta and it brought the history of our city to life. We connected with different time periods through to current, as the murals told a story. There are other walks I'm interested...
