Mediocre selection of quality cigars (lots of low end stuff though), prices were acceptable, though on the higher than normal side. Service was where this place really failed for me.
Waiting for an employee to let me into the closet sized humidor (they keep it locked evidently, says something about their customers) while they twerk behind the counter, flirt with customers and text on their phones was when I realized I'd made a mistake driving out here from downtown. I had to ask two different employees to open the humidor before a third finally let me in (is add that the two previous employees I asked were not "doing work," just the activities mentioned above), only to find the previously mentioned mediocre selection.
I guess I've been spoiled by other, much better lounges and cigar shops around the country. I'm used to a cigar lounge being a comfortable and relaxing environment with quality products and great service. Highland Cigar is none of those things. They aren't even a real cigar store, more of a nightclub that carries some cigars.
I'll add that for as the only lounge I've ever seen that bragged about their custom HVAC system, it didn't seem to be working the night I was there, because it was just as smoky as any other place I've ever been (which actually didn't bother me personally, as I smoke cigars every day and am totally fine with the smoke, but found it funny).
When travelling in Atlanta, skip this waste of time. It's sad to see that they've been rated number one store and lounge at all, if this place is #1, how terrible must...
Read moreThe vibe is pretty good, but the service not so much. Cliff the manager (at least that's what I was told) was extremely rude. He was the bartender for the evening when I attempted to order drinks because it was difficult to find a server while sitting on the couch for about 15 minutes. I finally got his attention ordered drinks which took another 15-20 minutes, opened a tab because I had a few people with me and it went downhill from there. He then tried to accuse someone in my party of trying to not pay for a drink after I ordered the drink for her, told him to put it on my tab and also inquiring about why it took so long to get one drink. Then Malayshia a server attempted to come by and see what the issue was and she was rude as well lacking empathy or professionalism. After that I just asked for my bill so that we could leave. I run 4 restaurants inside the Atlanta airport and am very aware of what good customer service consists of and that wasn't it at all. If Cliff and Malayshia are a representation of what your establishment stands for then you all may want to consider retraining these human beings so that they can get a better understanding of how to treat patrons. Like I tell my employees everyday the customers don't need US, WE need...
Read moreDO NOT DEAL WITH THE RUDE, SASSY MEN THAT WORK AT THIS PLACE.
The worst service ever. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I’ve received bad service alone & brushed it off, thinking maybe it’s me or this guys having a bad day. But when my friends from out of town say the chubby male bartender with the beat up shoes is being rude & short to them when they order, now I’m not the only one that thinks the sassy men that work at Highland need to be fired. Remove the sassy boys & light some sage to get rid of the bad energy they bring.
I go to upscale cigar lounges across the country to have a good time, not to be sassed by rude people working behind the bar. And having to deal with second hand embarrassment because grown men over 40 are rude & sassy to my guests is the reason I won’t be back & I wouldn’t recommend anyone else looking for a cigar lounge in Atlanta go here. It’s absolutely the worst service from the bars...
