I visited on the first Friday after they officially opened, and brought a group of people with me to check it out. I never really leave reviews, but because of the way I was treated, here we are!
Pros: The server we had was extremely friendly and accommodating. She was awesome. The outdoor spaces were nice and that's it.
Cons: There is seating EVERYWHERE! There is so much seating that if you and your group don't have anywhere to sit, you are then awkwardly standing next to or between tables. Not only is it annoying for you, but also for the strangers you're hovering above. They advertise a dance floor but it doesn't exist. They seem to have a DJ for no reason other than to blast music so loudly that you can't hear the person across or next to you without moving in close. If you're going to force people to sit around and talk, the least you can do is control the music volume so we can actually hear each other. The game parlor is nothing more than two skee ball lanes in a corner and again, table after table where you can play card games, Jenga, etc.. However, if all the tables are taken, you are once again awkwardly standing next to those who are seated since this place literally lacks any type of standing areas besides the outdoor spaces. You then never actually get to make use of the game parlor.
Most importantly, the general manager is EXTREMELY RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE. The way he talked to me was absolutely disgusting and the director/manager of operations attempted to excuse his actions by stating he was having a bad day.
The director/manager of operations also gave me his cell number, his email, and one of the co owners email. I msged the director/manager to tell him I appreciated his efforts to rectify the situation, BUT HE HAS IGNORED MY MSG AND NOT RESPONDED.
I have not had a response to my email explaining the situation, and I had waited since last Friday to give them a chance to respond. It's now Wednesday evening.
This place is nothing more than a glorified restaurant with management who clearly doesn't care about how their customers are treated. My group left and had a better time at Ladybird.
There are much better venues to socialize, play games, and enjoy on the Beltline than here. I live in walking distance and won't even...
Read moreI came opening night of Painted Park and from the moment you walk in you are treated by great music, cool vibes, friendly people, a fun atmosphere and good decor. I’ve walked by the place a billion times on the belt line and I’ve been anticipating the opening. It’s very cool inside with the different games, activities and rooms. Each area has a different scene and gives you a different feel of the place. We tried a lot of the things on the menu. Friends recommended the nachos and tuna tartare. I got a bite of the meatball sandwich, house chips and tuna poke bowl. Everything I tried was so incredibly delicious. I ordered the Juicy Lucy and it was so freaking good. It is cooked to perfection and the regular fries are seasoned and cooked just right. I very much enjoyed the Saturn cocktail - but between myself and the table next to me, we discovered that if you do half passion fruit juice and half club soda, it cuts the drink just right. Just a friendly tip. 😉 But, from what I’ve noticed so far, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is sooooo good. Also, shout out to our waitress Chris. Even on opening night, she was all smiles and made sure we felt like the only table she had that night! The owner, Justin was also there opening night and he too made sure to stop by to check on us as well. No detail is overlooked at The Painted Park. You can tell ownership is invested in making this place a success like the other locations. And you are in for a treat, whether it be for a drink, a chill place to hang, to play a game or eat some amazing food. Make...
Read moreStep into Painted Park, and the lively crowd of people will tell you if it’s worth the visit. This place is absolutely incredible and has been absolutely packed every time I’ve been. The lay out is perfect for accommodating its ever growing customer base. You and your friends will be able to spread out and explore multiple outdoor and indoor spaces. There are areas that are more social, with larger gatherings of people as the DJ curates the vibe. You can gather around a TV to watch the game. Or play a round of ping pong. Then there are places that feel more isolated, if you need more of a quiet/intimate vibe. Cozy up by a fire pit that leads directly to the Belt Line. Whatever you’re feeling, Painted Park has a spot for you.
Similarly, the food and drink menu is expansive and excellent. Being able to get everything from an incredible steak to a refreshing açaí bowl in one place is almost unheard of. Especially for an upscale, sports themed establishment like this. When it comes to the drinks and food, you are sure to find something that you’ll love. And there are plenty of bars and tables to order from. Every staff member has been so diligent in their care and consideration to the customers. Extremely friendly and quick! Laura, one of the managers, is especially helpful and attentive. She checks on everyone to make sure every need or want is met. And with leadership like that, it’s easy to see what the standard is and how it is maintained.
Do yourself a favor and go enjoy a night at Painted Park! It'll easily make its way on to your list...
