James' Original Salt Water Taffy — Local services in Atlantic City

They have a good assortment of fudge and candies here, but I typically just come here for the taffy. They have more flavors here than I remember which is cool. I only bought about 15 pieces, but I still enjoyed them. You can also buy a box with a fixed price, but I prefer to choose my own flavors and pay by weight.

Also, as a tip, if you have a Caesars Rewards card, you can typically print a coupon at one of the kiosks that are lit up a pink color that gives you 10% off your order. I don't know if they ALWAYS have it available, but they seem to have it whenever I'm in Atlantic City.

Some of their other candy seems to be a bit expensive. I work at a party store in NYC which procures candy from a lot of different distributors and we don't charge nearly as high as they do, but it is what it is. Perhaps their costs are just higher for some reason. Just...

Nice store...in a casino. Boardwalk store was gone, even though it's listed in a GPS unit. Gone are the old skool banks and such. You can pick out your own assortment, but the box will cost you a buck. You kidding? OK...grabbed an assortment and the first thing my sister said was "hey, they don't list the flavor on the wrapper"? "WHAT"...so everything "white" be it wintergreen or vanilla (cinnamon has a stripe (never used to) is hit an miss. And the stuff is HARD. Rock hard. Been sitting since God knows when. Salt water taffy was perfected on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, so even though Bourdain didn’t like sweets, he made a point to stop at James' Original Salt Water Taffy. If you come during the winter, the boardwalk location may be closed, but the one inside the Tropicana is always open.
