Save A Lot — Local services in Atlantic City

AGAIN BEING THT THIS STORE HAS in FACT switched OWNER'S & management i FIGURED and NOT by CHOICE tht i WOULD BUY ONLY my moNthly side ITEMS BEING THT the meat THERE is ALWAYS bad and needing to be returned so i felt as though i COULDNT GO WRONG WITH boxed items , non meat items ect...once AGAIN i spent 190 cash and the mistake i MADE this TIME was BUYING diary and fruit!!!! Just like the meat month'S AGO being bad an GREEN these ITEMS i BOUGHT recently WERE ALSO mildew and spoiled!!!!! Smdh!!! U may ask WHY DO i CONTINUE to shop THEIR and as ANY1 WOULD UNDERSTAND if u LIVE in ATLANTIC CITY THIS IS OUR ONLY FOOD MARKET on THE ENTIRE ISLAND THT WE HAVE TO shop FRM and tht is if u DONT HAVE a car ,,,WANT to PAY WELL OVER 25$ for a cab/uber OFF Shore to shoprite or CANT CATCH THE bus which will TAKE multiple buses and ALOT of TIME THN THIS IS IT FOR us locals !!!! And i BELIEVE THIS is WHY THEY sell THE FOOD the WAY THEY DO an TREAT ppl rudely the WAY THEY do, THEY KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH ALL THIS ILLEGAL STUFF AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE FOOD AND STORE IS NOT UP TO CODE...the fruit was definitely rotten with GREEN mold all through the bottom of the strawberries an blueberries...the cheese was also GREEN n blue with mildew INSIDE the packages which u could NOT notice or SEE TILL u opened it and the milk, omg!!! The milk was spoiled, curreled with cottage cheese lime chunks coming out and the cantainers top was seal and never open just loke the rest of the rotten food bought !!!! NOW AGAIN i was LEFT WITH the CHOICE of CALLING and complaining with recipients in hand and trying to BRING item's in to the STORE MANAGER AGAIN but FOR WHAT???? TO HAVE HAPPEN what happened the last time i shopped their whn the bunch of meat i bought was spoiled and green???? I DONT THINK so.... WHAT I DID do DIFFERENTLY THIS TIME is TOOK picture's ...with receipt , and called the HEALTH board as this is a huge COMMON problem....called the corparate office aswel...this has got to stop...treating the local ppl like this and just selling them an their families any old thing is unacceptable and inexcusable and some1 needs to do something and fast!!!! These are families , KIDS and alot of seniors, DISABLED PPL WHO have to resort to THIS type. Of b.s whn WE SHOULDNT HAVE too....our HEALTH and MONEY is JUST AS GOOD as those WHO LIVE and shop OFF Shore at shoprites and acme store's....we DESERVE HIGH QUILITY FOOD and safe FOOD AT THT , where we dont have to worry about our kids dying and or getting sick frm the rotten food sold at this "save alot " in ATLANTIC City....as long as Im subjected to THIS b.s Im gonna KEEP pushing and complaining TILL SOMETHING is DONE PERIOD!!!! They would stand for this off shore so why should...

It's a decent clean supermarket. Not too many choices like a bigger brand supermarket but I give them credit and many thanks for being the only supermarket here for us folks who live here and need to buy groceries!!!!! So thank you Save A Lot !!! I hope that in the future they will stock healthier choices and vegan products. You can buy your basics and the meat section is pretty good. The fish is frozen but good. Unless you want to spend over at least $50 RT in cab fare to shop..yes...that costly !!! ....then this is your place.,.only supermarket in AC. Update today 04/1223 this AC store has turned into an absolute horror. I went into the store with my service dog and was met outside by a really nasty security woman who said no dogs allowed. I explained that it was a service dog. She said she didn't care what kind of dog it is no dogs are allowed. I asked to speak to the manager. He was extremely rude . I had proof. He said what is that ? Several times. He insisted it was fake. He stated that the ID must have the word Federal on it. He alleged that he knows this because his sister trains service dogs. He was very nasty..he said that he would allow me to shop today but never again with my service dog. The week before I had an issue with that female security person. Even a cashier commented on her. When I asked several times what the Manager's name was, he refused to give it to me.. This is so deplorable on so many levels. It's also illegal. I will issue formal complaints with several agencies. I am a senior citizen and it's is difficult enough trying to shop in ATLANTIC City for food. I hope that someone from corporate offices reads this. I will be getting in touch with you...

This store is horrible..in a low income area of Atlantic City,no real products for the community..produce dept is terrible not a variety of veggies...no spinach..also stereotype cause of the neighborhood..not many varieties of that many products period..limited and basic,meats are poor and alot overpriced....not all meats are offered here or seafood..no deli...sad this the only market in Atlantic City..taking advantage of the poor...with high priced limited meats..no oxtails,turkey chops,sausage links,just horrible,fresh liver..let alone the veggies..no romaine lettuce..or bagged..rarely any brand name products...the Security guard followed me around the store when I always make purchases...and had no understanding..never stole and also been kind shopper...the register lines are super long only like 2 cashiers..this store degrades the black Community....takes advantage of the poor..and the store is stereotyped for poor blacks..and minorities..with limited products of choice..and high priced meats..especially..1st of the month..shelves are not always stacked..one time I went in and only a couple packs of meat early mid evening....always no garlic powder first of the month...this store is Sad..and the City should do something how they take advantage of the poor.and degrade the Community..with such poor service..knowing this the only grocery store in Atlantic City...Terrible..Beware..They need a better quality store like Shoperite..for people..of choice with families..and people can spend there money in better products of choice.For.All incomes of the people...and better shopping experience..This store is...
