This place is awesome! Especially if you're into sterling silver jewelry and cool gem and stone small trinkets.

The owner was usually actively working on new jewelry pieces in full view and is happy to discuss jewelry and custom pieces.

My mother wanted one of his gold mounted quartz pendants, but did not want the included chain, and wanted a single circular gold loop added to the pendant so that it would sit correctly on her existing chain. The owner made this happen while we waited. Gold soldered the circular link and made it permanent.

Amazing service and really cool pieces. I found an awesome solid sterling pinky ring on his display that I had to have, and it was about $40. We will absolutely be returning to The Gem Drop Shop when we come back...

Visited Black Mountain from Hawaii. I saw this beautiful little shop and went in. They have the neatest shop! So many new pieces of hand crafted jewelry and a nice selection of crystals too. They even have the work shop in the back. I saw palm stones that the owner had cut so a description card would stand in it. I asked him if he sold stones with these cuts in them and he said no. I have been looking everywhere for this exact thing to hold my business card at expos and fairs. He was kind enough to cut 4 of them for me and I used the one I kept for myself this weekend.
