After years of meaning to visit this store, I finally did this year! I LOVED it. It was much better than I had expected after seeing the advertisements.
I was in twice. The first time the place was PACKED with sooo many women (and a few men). Everybody was enjoying themselves and the atmosphere was nothing but friendly. The stylist was very busy with so many women to help but was obviously happy to do so and I seemed apparent that she really enjoyed it. She still cheerfully helped me coordinate pieces and find the sizes that were the most flattering.
The second time I went in, it wasn't nearly as busy, and still the atmosphere was very inviting. My husband had brought me back in and was right up against the changing room curtain most of the time, even with the other women who were trying on clothes in the other changing room. Nobody minded him being there to help me pick out a few more outfits. He even had a good time working with the stylist, running back and forth to the racks. It was as if they were both playing "Barbie" while they dressed me up in different outfits together. š
The prices here aren't any higher than other "regular" stores, at least for the clothing and accessories. In fact, places like Chico's sell clothes for much higher prices. The items that were on the "discount" racks were priced VERY low! For the uniqueness of the items in this store, I can't complain about the price.
I wore one of the outfits that I purchased out of the store, and didn't even make it a block before I was stopped and complimented. I received compliments the rest of the afternoon and evening, literally everywhere I went.
I WILL be returning to this store when we visit Branson again for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis beautiful boutique was one of the highlights of my trip to Branson! The store is so elegant and has a dazzling array of Victorian-style furnishings for the home, decor, jewelry and hair accessories, and clothes. OH THOSE CLOTHES! Sumptuous came to mind when I saw all the lace, embroidery, and little jewels sprinkled on what I can only describe as "fairy-tale" garments. I bought a gorgeous deep lavender dress and matching gauzy-lacy jacket, while my sister purchased a persimmon colored dress accented with rosettes. I felt the quality of the garments and just...well...everything in the store was excellent and the pricing fit that standard perfectly. And ladies, you WILL get oohs and ahhs from the clothing you purchase here. The next night I went to see Jonah in Branson and I and my sister wore our new dresses and we received numerous compliments! You cannot go to Branson without visiting Victorian House, it is like a Victorian-fairytale...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could have literally spent hours in this store. Most men probably wouldnāt care for it with all the frills and āgirlieā and unusual things that they sell. But I loved looking at everything. The sales personnel can be a bit pushy as they really want to make a sale. When I would ask a question about a certain item, they would go into āsellā mode and tell me how good something would look on me. I did end up buying a very pretty thin lacy jacket-like thing and they wanted to sell me the skirt that was on the mannequin with it. I told them I didnāt need a skirt. They did show me the necklace that was also on the mannequin and I bought it as well. I spent over $100 on those two items so I can confidently say that the shop is pricey. But if you know that going in, youāll be prepared. They do sell more than clothes and jewelry so I would go there again as thereās no store like that...
