Immediately upon arriving the staff was rude and dismissive. After doing their sign in, the staff spent zero time helping identify what gear was correct for what we were looking for, nor did they spend any time setting it up properly for our needs. The two rentals we took both had issues on the slopes and required us to come off and correct the assembly. We’ve been coming here for a combined 50+ years and never had a gear issue, or had such a poor experience with any rental company.

The gear we received was 2+ years old. Nothing had an edge on it at all, the boots were so worn out and sloppy it made for an awful experience. The worst part about all of this is we pointed it out to the staff and they actually shrugged at us. We’re not tough to deal with so we went ahead and gave the gear a shot thinking maybe we were just out of touch, but it was so bad it basically wasted the first day on the slopes.

It doesn’t matter if you’re new or experienced you should be getting a little something for your money. I cannot recommend anyone go here.

We were the only people in the store 2 hours before closing. There is no excuse for the attitudes or lack of attention. We are both baffled how there can be a positive rating for this facility.

DO NOT RENT BIKES HERE. Rented out some bikes today for my friends who were visiting to bike to Frisco. They couldn’t explain the difference between the gear shifters and apparently didn’t check the tightness of the wheels screwed into their sockets because 2 miles into the ride, one of the bike’s back tires came out of the chassis completely! I have never seen that happen in all my years of biking.

My friend obviously crashed and got some major road rash and bruising. It was lucky that I’ve worked on bikes before and could put it back together so we could walk back to the shop to return the bikes.

I told the worker at the desk and we weren’t offered a discount or anything despite their shoddy maintenance of their path bikes. I have had friends and family rent from here countless times for the last decade and I won’t be going back after this. My family and I visit Breckenridge every year. We always go to Base Mountain Sports on Park Street for our rentals and all of our snowboarding and skiing necessities. I would like to note that this year was exceptional. The staff that they have working there and the management are all time. I always have a good experience there, but I just want to say that this season is top-notch. A gentleman named Matt immediately greeted us when we walked in the door and was extremely warm and helpful. He set us up with his ski technician Ana, who was very knowledgeable and quick to get me and my family set up. I highly recommend this shop for your skiing vacation.
