Good Eye — Local services in Colorado Springs

Owner was rude when asked if she buys local merchandise. While checking out, the owner came up and we started to talk. I happened to know someone that has merchandise that would complement the stores vintage style and look. Her reply was, "Just because it's local doesn't mean it's good". Buying Local is what makes small business stand out and helps the community. Does that mean all local art/merchandise is great? No, but having an open mind and a kinder respond would have made a better impression than the closed minded outlook she had.

I would have rated this shop higher, I thought the store was unique which is why I came into this shop in the first place...but I will not be shop here again. Kindness speaks volume! I hope this helps as this is a honest review and not met to be hateful to the owner or her...

The employees welcomed my mother and I into the store then as we moved near the back to browse they tired moving closer to us, talking about a dress we were looking at a minute ago. They were having a conversation with each other before moving closer to us and completely stopped it to talk about the dress. I know this is a tactic to see if someone is stealing and as a person of color I've experienced this multiple times. Employees following me around a store and making me uncomfortable. Then as we began to exit the store due to them I looked at some jewelry near the front desk and they stopped talking about the dress to advance closer to us again. I'm very disappointed at the employees. Even if racism wasn't their intention it sure as hell...

THANK YOU! I visited the shop while in town from Michigan. So many cute things but I was trying to stick to my travel budget. I regretted not buying this shirt that evening (I’m the worst). I went online but they didn’t have my size. I ordered a size down and wrote in the notes asking if they had one in my size, I’d take it.
