I've been to a few different Aritzia stores, others in larger cities, and this one seemed more welcoming. The few times I've visited, I've noticed the diverse staff, which I appreciate as a customer. I always end up having helpful conversations with them, whether about clothes or life! They've always been helpful and proactive on my end whether it's about starting dressing rooms or helping ordering items through the store.
A couple things I don't like (regarding the store, not the employees): 1. I wish the mirrors were actually inside the dressing rooms for privacy. 2. Maybe it's because it's a smaller store or because of COVID impact on products, but items seem to always be out of stock, more so in store, which I know some things are out of one's control. Things are still weird nowadays.
8/27: Updated Review..! So I went in to purchase a couple of things and try on a few items in store and I was welcomed by a friendly employee who immediately set up a dressing room for me. Awesome, especially considering it was a pretty busy day. The moment I walked into the dressing room to try things on, that's where I got the experience everyone's been talking about--super overwhelming and no privacy/boundaries. Like please give me some space, I can make my own decisions, and if I can't, I will ask someone for help..? I'm guessing these are expectations facilitated by management, but there's no balance between tact and professionalism.
When it was time to check out, I noticed that there were other people who needed help and actual advice about products, and I noticed one employee's mannerisms came out pretty snarky and rude towards the customer. Maybe a bad day during a busy day. I understand that, and that sometimes we might get impatient with certain people but the uncomfortable tension at the register was real and I found it to be the most unprofessional encounter I've seen in a retail store. I expected more from a boutique store like Aritzia, and I've been to better ones.
Also, what happened to the diversity in a workplace that I appreciated before? (I get diff shifts happen, that's fine), buutt today was a total...
Read moreI visited on 1/12/25. I found several things to try on. When escorted to dressing room I was placed in a small dressing room that didn’t have a mirror. Every time I tried something on i had to walk out into the large room. There were several employees that helped other guests in the dressing rooms but never once did either of the dressing room employees ask if I needed help. Then as I was paying my daughter found the belt size I was looking for. I asked if I could exchange the one I just bought because it was the belt I wanted the whole time. The cashier acted as if I was asking to cut off her right arm. She was so inconvenienced to help me. I walked out and was so disappointed I paid so much money and was treated like I was a burden to the workers in the store. Needless to say, it gave me buyers remorse. When I drove home two hours away I decided to return a couple things. When I called the store to ask about sending a couple things back for a return she explained I had to call customer service and they couldn’t help in the store. Then I held for 15 minutes The girl I spoke to over the phone was very friendly but the in store workers left a lot to be desired . I don’t know how this company will stay in...
Read moreThe store at Easton is nice and decent. The people are ok. (No great service award) It’s the store policy and the online store that has unreasonable and rude policies. I am going to actively discourage people shopping this store or brand. They are very expensive and make exchanges and returns difficult to impossible. Holding people hostage over purchases and exchanges - particularly for Christmas gifts is a terrible policy. Making gifts non returnable or exchangeable is awful. I have three daughters I buy for. Last Christmas I bought too much from this store. And was intending to repeat some purchases but in trying to take advantage of Black Friday I was told my gifts would not be returnable or exchangeable. I had to pay full price and even then one has a short time frame for exchanges. Their returns are inconsistent and poorly trained in store and online. DO NOT...
