I stopped in solo for dinner and ordered the DFFC Miso Ramen with Fried Chicken ($21 before tax/tip). Here’s the full breakdown:
🍜 Broth – Deep, savory, and exactly what you want when you’re craving comfort. The miso hits first, layered with chili oil heat that lingers gently. Piping hot and well-balanced.
🍜 Noodles – Chewy with a nice bounce. They hold up in broth better than expected. Not house-made in feel, but still satisfying if eaten while hot.
🍳 Toppings – • Fried Chicken: Flavorful and crispy at first, but the coating dissolves fast in broth. Ask for it on the side if you care about texture. • Kimchi: Bright, slightly spicy, and maybe the most underrated element of the bowl. Balances richness beautifully. • Corn: Decent texture but mild. Could benefit from charring or seasoning. • Green Onion: Light bite and fresh crunch. • Egg: Visually great with a jammy yolk, but served a little too cold to blend naturally into the hot bowl.
💬 Note: They offer the signature S&B ramen pepper at the table, but there’s a BPA warning on the label. Just a small detail to be aware of.

👤 Service – My server, Breia, was kind and attentive without hovering. She offered to separate the leftovers (broth vs toppings), which is a small move that makes a big difference. Felt like thoughtful service, not a lucky accident.
🎶 Ambience & Crowd – By 8 PM on a Tuesday, it was almost full. Definitely a popular spot with a vibrant, casual vibe. Not ideal if you’re looking for solitude, but not so loud that it felt chaotic.
☀️ Space Highlights – • Big glass garage door opens to sidewalk seating when weather’s good • Tables are close together, so expect some foot traffic and chatter • Great natural light during the day
—
✅ Pro Tips – • Get the chicken on the side for crispier texture • Ask for extra kimchi — it’s worth it • Separate your leftovers to avoid soggy noodles • Parking is free above Level 1 in the garage next door

Would I go back? Yes — especially for the DFFC Miso Ramen, which is the standout among their broth options.
Would I dine in again? Maybe, but next time I might grab it to go and enjoy it in peace.

Read moreOh boy, this review is going to be rather disappointing as we had heard nothing but good things about the food. The front of house service, however, was unprofessional to say the least. Our hostess told us 10-15 mins for a table unless we sat at the bar. We chose the bar. Immediately afterwards the bald manager, sat a 2 top at a table. Kind of annoying but not a big deal miscommunication happens.
The manager proceeded to be exasperated with his staff in what did not appear to be an incredibly high volume night. Sitting by the pos next to us at the bar yelling directions to his staff. Leave your pos and have a conversation with them. Don’t show your guests you’re stressed and clearly pretty clueless.
Our bartender Jenifer was slow and very unprofessional. She proceeded through our meal to exclaim to other customers how she has had many deaths in her family recently including her dog. Not the most uplifting bar talk, especially in what I assume the owner wants to be a “higher end” establishment. She mentioned how she had also been sick that week.
She than exclaimed how a specific chef would sometimes not put the customer first and “double fry” shrimp if volume is too busy. She then proceeded to explain that the owner is “that” chef. Lady I got news for you, the owner makes the decisions they feel is best for their establishment.
This is a restaurant with prices around $20 for an entree mind you. That kind of energy is not what I want from a place where I am paying a premium. Btw Jenifer charged us improperly for our meal but we were over it and didn’t want to bother with the staff.
If I’m the owner I am considering completely restructuring whom I believe is best to help operate my business. The bao buns were solid, the ramen was fine albeit too salty for my taste. The foundation is there but man was the...
Read moreI'd been wanting to try this place for a while as I love ramen! But my friends and I were disappointed. Service wise, the time it took to get drinks and food was way long. Ramen is usually something that comes out in a snap, but this took about 30 minutes. I had asked for a gluten free menu, and ordered a gluten free ramen. However, upon receiving my meal I noticed the noodles were definitely regular noodles and not the rice noodles. We had to flag down our server to ask the kitchen if I got the gluten free version. She asked if I had an allergy and if I was going to die, which I don't but I do have a serious intolerance. She said the kitchen switched the noodles and gave me the non gluten free version, so I asked to get the gluten free version instead. I was worried about how long this would take. My two friends were finished with their meals by the time I got mine, so unfortunately they had to sit there and watch me eat my meal. We also chose to try the mochi at the end, I've had larger mochi that were way less expensive and just as good so the ones here were not that great. At the end of the meal, I was not offered any kind of discount or anything due to my experience, wonder if it was because they knew I did not have a deathly allergy to gluten, like I was just being picky? (You cannot be allergic to gluten btw, but you can be intolerant or have Celiacs which is a serious intolerance) We all decided we probably would not come back, I greatly prefer Fukuryu Ramen as they are fast, friendly, and their ramen is to die for. I'd like to note I also had a painful reaction to the few bites I took of my original meal as soon as I got home, so I will take better care of ensuring I have the gluten free version at other...
