The staff at the downtown location is so amazingly courteous, I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the gym experience I’ve had so far. It is such a welcoming and energizing, positive environment. Working out there is one of best parts of my day. I commend you all on your excellence! And I am especially grateful for Tim. His professionalism, knowledge and encouragement is helping me make truly impactful changes to my life. That is priceless!
One year later… still going!!!
I've been training with Tim Thomas for about a year, and I can't recommend him highly enough. When I started, I weighed over 200 pounds, my bone weight was just 2 pounds, and I was on the verge of a bulging L5 disc due to a sedentary lifestyle and excess weight. Now, I've lost almost 50 pounds, increased my bone weight to more than 5 pounds, and no longer experience any discomfort or signs of a bulging disc! Whew! (I am also working with a doctor, be sure to partner with your doctor regarding exercise programs if you have any conditions like this, etc.). Tim's expertise in functional strength training is remarkable, but what truly sets him apart is his ability to cultivate a positive mindset and sense of self-efficacy. He provides challenging, customized workouts that meet you where you are, helping you believe in your capabilities. Despite initial fears and daily challenges, Tim's growth mindset has been crucial for developing consistency in my fitness journey. His recommendations on nutrition, supplements, including vegan protein shakes, vitamins, and joint supplements, have also made a significant difference. When I began, I felt like my best days were behind me, but thanks to Tim, I now feel empowered and...
Read moreI cannot recommend Cowboy Fit enough. It's truly an amazing gym that has everything you could want in a workout facility. Living downtown Dallas, it is hard to find a gym with sauna, Recover equipment and super well kept gym for such a good monthly price. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with how clean and well-maintained everything was. The staff clearly takes great pride in keeping the gym in top shape, and it shows.
The music is also fantastic at Cowboy Fit. It's always energizing, which really helps me kill my workouts even if i forget my headphones. But what really sets Cowboy Fit apart is the culture. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages hard work and respect for one another. I personally have not done private training but all trainers are certified and the workouts looks top-tier
The staff at Cowboy Fit is simply amazing. Every employee I've interacted with has been knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. But two employees who really stand out are Devin and John. These guys go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and just nice welcoming guys. They're always willing to and seen them answer questions, offer advice, or provide a little extra motivation if needed.
Overall, Cowboy Fit is the best gym I've ever been to. The combination of a clean and well-maintained facility, great music, and a welcoming culture makes for an unbeatable workout experience. And with staff like Devin and John on board, you know you're in good hands. If you're looking for a gym that will help you achieve your fitness goals in a supportive and energizing environment, Cowboy Fit is definitely the...
Read moreJoined this gym about a year ago through Active & Fit Direct (available through my work’s benefits) and overall my experience was positive, but I’m not sure I’d recommend the downtown location now.
The equipment is great and the place stays very clean — the gym itself I liked and still like a lot. And when I originally joined, although I had some minor issues signing up through Active & Fit Direct, the original staff were super friendly/understanding/helpful. All the personal trainers I’ve talked to also seem very nice, even now.
At some point recently though (in the past 2-3 months or so?) it looks like a bunch of new staff have been hired/a lot of the old staff left. One of the newer employees has given me a pissy attitude multiple times when I stay close to closing time on Sundays (3:00 pm, super early) even though that’s the only time I can come on the weekends. The hours in general are pretty bad compared to other gyms, and beginning in March members are basically being forced to either find parking on the street or pay an extra $25/month on top of monthly membership fees to park in the Interurban garage around the corner, which was originally free for members. I only pay $36/month (a discounted rate), but an extra $25/month just to park is not worth it at all imo. So unless you live within walking/biking distance, it would be more worth it to go to the East Dallas or Plano location, or just a different gym if you aren’t close to...
