I’ve edited by review for good reason. I’ve been a patron of evolve for about 5 years. Incredible workouts absolutely, but my last visit will be my last for good reason.
I am a more petite and lean woman, because o prefer that as my body shape. I had not been in an evolve class for about 6 weeks because I was in Vietnam for 3 weeks, and getting back to my normal routine and jet lag after all the travel. So I had lost a couple pounds of muscle mass for obvious reasons. I
I tattoo for a living, so I’m very mindful of the moves I do to protect my hands and wrists, so I often modify some moves to my liking, and the trainers know this. The owner came up to me in the middle of a set and commented of my body saying “ you look really small” like not as a compliment, like it was a bad thing. One; I don’t think it’s appropriate for any man to comment on a woman’s physique, it’s offensive. And just because I prefer to not look like a buff woman, doesn’t mean I should have my body commented on because I have a more lean Pilates body.
It was quite offensive and something that had been heavy on my mind since. Not bc I care what he thinks, couldn’t care less really. I’m upset because it’s just out of line for many reasons. No self awareness what so ever.
I’ve referred this gym to many friends and clients over the years and have spent loads of money attending the classes that I loved so much.
If you’re not in the cool kids: Evolve hydrox athlete group, it’s hard to not feel like an outsider there if I’m being honest.
Shareef, my advice to you is to think about what you say before you say it especially when speaking about someone’s body, positive or negative. Sad to say that will be my last class and I will not be returning. I’ll take my money elsewhere to a gym where all bodies...
Read moreI'm a frequent traveler, and often I buy a day pass because the hotel gyms typically don't have the equipment. I tried sending evolve an email at the address in their webpage, and the email bounced back, then I submitted a question using their online form and still (1 week later) have yet to receive a reply. So we walked their one morning to see what a day pass cost. It's $25 per person, and there were two of us. They said they have a class, but we could use any equipment open. So we looked in the gym and saw a few pieces of equipment we could use. 10 minutes later we were asked to stop using the equipment, because it would be used later. And even equipment that was being used, the members in the class placed their water bottles on them so we could not use them. I asked the staff and after paying they said we could not use it and "well, sorry". So we were there about 40 minutes, spent $50, and could use 2-3 pieces of equipment. It may be a great experience for routine users, but got daily users the customer service was horrible and would...

I came in for a day pass (25$ lol) just to train on my last day in Dallas… Halfway through the workout and IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SET I got interrupted (super inappropriate) by one of the trainers, saying I can’t use the machines because they have a class now… So I basically had to stop my workout…
I went to the girl at the reception to say that I basically got kicked out and I’m not happy with that, because no one told me they have a class coming at that time…
The girl at the reception replied: “ well, yeah, that’s our thing here, we do classes…. And anyway medical practitioners say you shouldn’t workout longer than one hour”
What an unprofessional way to meet your customers! Pathetic… Especially trying to justify the situation with a statement that is completely irrelevant to the situation…
After training in hundreds of gyms around the globe, this is a first one for me…
After involving the owner (I think she was) they...
