Yesterday I had handed this bag to the cashier and said I wanted to think about it before purchasing, came back today to buy this bag and they had separated a smaller bag that was inside it and put it on a separate hanger. I assumed it was a mistake so I grabbed both and said I wanted to purchase them. The cashier informs me that I “can’t just rip the tag off the second bag and stuff it inside the larger one”. I inform him that I didn’t pull the tag off, he was the one I handed the bags back to the day before … they were together then, they’re meant to be sold together as a set. He says “well I guess my manager decided to separate them, they’re now $60 each” I say “they were together when I handed it back to you yesterday” and he says “I don’t know what to tell you, I guess you should have bought it yesterday” so, not only did they accuse me of trying to steal a bag that’s meant to be sold as a set, but then told me I should’ve purchased it the day before. In addition to all that, they’re scamming people to double their money.
Edit: after this incident I went online to see if I could find the bag, and I was able to find it. The bag is clearly a set with the smaller bag, and had I seen this earlier I would’ve shown the cashier… that said, it’s pretty troublesome they’re trying to sell them separately and called me a liar / insinuated I was trying to steal it when I said they were meant to be...
Read moreFirst of all, this store is not at all ADA compliant, so do not shop here if you are disabled. Second, we were told after shopping for awhile that strollers were not allowed, and we needed to leave. There are NO signs stating that (at least not visibly) inside or outside the business. My husband and I checked when we left. As a foster mom, it is super sad to have local small businesses not support us and allow us to shop with littles along. Not easy to just leave them at home. Nor is it for biological parents. Tacky.
EDITED TO ADD: not a professional way for a business to respond. I would like to know where the signs were. Because we looked. And asked others if they saw them. I never said they discriminated against JUST foster parents, just that it’s hard enough to do things, but ultra hard when other businesses don’t help in that endeavor. Let me clarify: not accommodating to parents OR those with disabilities. Which is also apparent from other reviews saying they couldn’t get in with a wheel chair. It’s...
Read moreI was in the store yesterday and saw the signs for "If you break it, you buy it." Sadly, my purse knocked a candle off the edge of a display and I took it to the front of the store to abide by the sign. I ended up paying $24.99 for a candle that I would never take home and try to use. I'm fine with paying if I break something, however, I feel like charging customers what YOU, the business, actually paid for it at cost is a better option - especially given that your retail space is small and packed to the gills with merchandise, causing a lot of it to be on the edge of tables, shelving, etc. I completely understand not wanting to lose money as a business. That just makes financial sense. But do you really want customers to leave your business with a bad taste in their mouth because you just profited off of them without them receiving anything tangible in the...
