I first ordered from here through Uber eats. The food was so delicious, I had to take a few family members when they visited Dallas. However, by the time we got there, they were about to close. However, the owners Yolanda and Roberta (mother and daughter) were so kind they didn't want to disappoint my family and went out of the way to take care of us. Once again I visited this place again yeaterday with a friend who is in town. This time it was Robert (father) who was there to take care of us. Once again, they didnt fail to show the Caribbean hospitality and the food was amazing. My friend ordered the jerk chicken with rice and beans, plantains, spinach and mac and cheese. For a change I ordered the shrimp roti. As always the food was delicious. Their home made hot sauce is HOT and fantastic!!!! This is a place that has been consistent with their amazing friendly service, hospitality and the tasty food. They server beer so its definetly a plus. Thanks guys for being so wonderful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for grear food and hospitality. They truly make you feel as if you are home with family. Thanks guys and keep up the great work. See you again soon.

Authentic yet horrible food. Do not recommend. This isn't coming from someone who is trying to bash this place. This is coming from someone who is trying to like this place but I can't. The chicken roti fell apart the instant I picked it up. The potatoes were hard as well as the channa. I brought the food home and ate it so the roti being soggy was understandable but I simply cannot forgive how bad this tasted. Twelve dollars for a roti I won't feed anyone. Supposedly the owners are from the Caribbean but I can't understand how that could be true with the quality of food being served here. Seven dollars for a Shandy Carib should be a crime. The doubles I wanted to try but was out, speaking with someone in line they told me to try the jerk chicken sandwich and was out so they must be popular to have sold out. I will be back at the Caribbean Cabana to see if maybe it was just today the food tasted as if it was made to taste intentionally bad.

I got there at approximately 1pm, no line no fuss and ordered Curry Chicken, peas and rice, cabbage and carrots and plantains. The plantains were perfect!! BUT the rest of the food was not good at ALL. It tasted old and every time I would bite my rice and peas I would get what had the taste and texture of gristle meat. The chicken was so OVER COOKED that it was almost pureed. The cabbage and carrots tasted as if it was straight from a CAN. Although, I know that not to be true because cabbage doesn't come in a can. BUT if it did this place can say they created the taste. I literally took one bite of the cabbage and was like NO, then 3 bites of the rice and peas from different areas, trying to see if it was ALL of it or maybe just one spot that had the gristle taste and to my dismay it was ALL. And then I ate all 3 of my perfectly cooked plantains. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The Caribbean Cabana is the place to go to if you want the Caribbean experience. I am from the east coast so I am very equipped to tell you good Caribbean food. Food portion is excellent. Prices are very comfortable with the portion of food you get. The only complaint I have is when it's busy you should have two people working the front line. Due to covid-19 we are wearing mask it's very warm in there and when the food is ready it takes too long after it's waiting for the server to give customer because he keeps ringing up more customers. Also, when I received my order my beef patty wasn't in the bag. Had I left without checking my bag I would have been very angry. Must check orders for completion other than that I rate them a 10. Excellent!

Update: It's been a few months since coming to this restaurant and I took a 45 min drive there. I was very disappointed. There were many people standing in line and the cashier was preoccupied having a discussion with the person who put the food on the plates. Clearly you could see that the conversation was of no importance as it look as a debate conversation they were having which brings me to my next point. They both were so preoccupied with their conversation that they messed up my whole order. They didn't have Mac and cheese nor cabbage. So I ordered curry chicken and oxtails. Both with one order of peas and rice and 2 side orders of plantain. When I reach home after a 45 min drive I had two orders of oxtails with 2 orders of peas and rice one order of plantain. If that wasn't bad enough the oxtails taste as if someone had took a box a salt and poured on it. The food was horrible. If you read my prior review I explained they forgot to put the beef patties in the bag. So, it looks as though they are becoming careless with people order and they no longer take pride in their customer service and preparation of the food. Not only did I waste $40.00 on food and 20.00 on gas I got the wrong order. $60.00 on nothingness. I will not be returning to this place of business very...

Extremely disappointed in the service we received here. My husband and I come here every other Saturday to eat when we visit the farmers market. Normally we are greeted by two young ladies who are ALWAYS PLEASANT! Yesterday my husband had to run in by himself & I stayed in the car with our daughter. My husband called me on the phone while he was ordering due to there being several things I told him to order for me being not available. I could hear the man constantly over talking my husband while he was asking what he did have available, the host also had the audacity to say while my husband was trying to order “this is why ppl need to have their order ready, I’m going to put a sign up saying ORDERS MUST BE READY”!!!! Excuse me???!!!! How rude to say that in front of customers who even though you don’t have no sides, no Pattie’s left are still trying to order food which benefits you & your business. How about you put up a sign that says I’m out of almost everything! I was extremely disappointed, embarrassed & will not return here. The food isn’t that good to have a side of bad customer service. Wish ppl would be better

And on top of ALL THE RUDENESS we still ordered. The fish was salty, oxtails cold & we paid for jerk Pattie’s he didn’t give us. Won’t answer the phone to...
