Beyond the Butcher has officially earned its place as my go-to spot for quality, prepared meat dishes that never disappoint. Whether it’s a beautifully cooked steak that hits all the right notes, or bratwursts that come dressed to impress—with all the fixings and a spicy mustard that brings the perfect kick—this place gets it right every time. The chef? Phenomenal. Down-to-earth, passionate, and serious about two things: top-tier food and top-notch customer service. He brings the same level of care to the person ordering as he does to the plate itself. And trust me, that combo is rare and deeply appreciated. Here’s the kicker: If you buy an awesome steak just one stall down at American Butcher, you can bring it over to Beyond the Butcher, and they’ll cook it for you exactly the way you like it. If that’s not customer service, I genuinely don’t know what is. That kind of partnership and flexibility makes the whole experience feel personal, like you're part of a local culinary collaboration. So yeah, if you’re hungry for quality meats made with skill and served with heart, Beyond the Butcher is where it's at. Get there, bring your appetite, and thank me later.

Unfortunately, I did not get to try one of the burgers. They looked delicious, but honestly, the service was so bad that would not have improved my review. Sat down at the bar just as they opened and both the attendants behind the bar stood over at the service counter for 10 to 15 minutes before coming over to check on us. My beer was delicious, but the mimosa they brought us was completely flat. After we finished those, we had to sit staring at them for another 10 to 15 minutes before they asked us if we wanted another round. We were comfortable and in the middle of a story so we ordered another round and got another flat mimosa, but the server walked away before we could ask about it. The only thing they were fast with was to run over and pick up the check once I signed it and then look at the tip right in front of me and then look over the receipt with a negative glare because I only gave them 10%. If you wanna try them out, I recommend you walk up to the self service counter order your food and walk away. Maybe grab a beverage somewhere else.

Well, the service started slow. It wasn't that busy and we were sitting at the bar in front of the workers. We asked about the drink prices and the server said she wasn't sure...ok maybe she should ask. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 waters. Ordered a Cuban and a French Dip. Not saying we know Cuban and French Dip, but we know what it should taste like. Cuban had tough pork that you couldn't chew. French dip...the dip was very watery. The sandwiches were pretty full looking, but not worth it, no flavor. A couple walked up to ask us how we liked it....to be polite we said we wouldn't eat here again. We explained to the server that the pork was unchewable. The chef came out and asked what we would like for our time, which was fine, he asked if we wanted another sandwich, we declined. Maybe they were having an off day, but both sandwiches were just....

I definitely feel humbled writing this review, as my wife highly suggested against coming here since she got food poisoning a few months back. I told her not to worry since maybe it was a random one off and decided to give it a second chance for us. Cut to now, 8 hours later in the middle of the night and I'm fighting for my life. I got the french dip with fries and I will say it was definitely pretty good! Maybe a bit expensive, but I understand they support local farmers which is worth the price imo. Looking at other comments, I am only seeing one or so comments mentioning buying expired meat so hopefully me and my wife getting sick on different occasions is just a weird coincidence. Either way, I would definitely suggest for the kitchen staff to take a second look at how they are preparing/storing their meat to ensure food safety. Service was alright, not super friendly but not poor either, which I can understand since it was a little later in the day on Halloween and folks are ready to go home. Overall, I really did like the food and will probably give it another chance in a few months. I'll update my review then and hopefully be able to share some...
