I just finished meeting with Brooks to create two dresses for me as I prepare for my wedding day! I showed Brooks a picture of what I envisioned for my rehearsal dinner dress for which she didn't have the fabric, but took great care in sending me pictures of the fabric that she would pick to create my dress. Not only was the fabric exactly what i wanted, but I was really impressed with the time that she took to find exactly what I wanted and consulted me first.

The other dress is for a shower that I am having and wanted to look really nice for. Brooks was wonderful in listening to exactly what I wanted and created a beautiful sketch that helped me to really envision the end product.

Working with Brooks has been an amazing experience. I have never had a custom piece of clothing made for me before and I was worried that it would be an intimidating process. Brooks really made me feel at ease, and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the process. I will for sure go back and have Brooks make many more items for me and I will be recommending her to many that are looking for that...

I was honored to be chosen to model a dress custom designed by Brooks for a charity fund raising fashion show.

Brooks took a great deal of time to design a beautiful, flattering, unique and fun dress for me to wear in this special event.

In our first session she had me try on a variety of sample garments to find the right style for my shape. She also draped me with several different fabric swatches in order to find the best colors for my complexion. And of course she took meticulous measurements for her to cut the dress pieces properly.

In our second session I wore the basic dress and Brooks got creative with the finishing touches. She figured out the sleeve style, dress length and neckline that would bring it all together as she envisioned.

In our final session Brooks had me bring my shoes for the outfit so she could perfect the ensemble, including accessories and hair and makeup recommendations.

My one and only son was getting married this past May. I needed to find a “Mother of the groom” dress that color wise fit in with the rest of the bridal party. Thank goodness it could be any style that i wanted. I cruised through every website I could think of for formal gowns. Nothing I saw was the style that I thought represented me, or the stage of life that I am in. At seventy one I didn’t think I wanted to jump into a slip dress. I contacted Brooks who has been designing and making wonderful gowns for years. This is an art form for Brooks, and that is exactly the attitude I was looking for. We met up and talked about what I thought I wanted and Brooks listened. Then came drawings and visits to her studio. I never knew this process could be so much fun.
